Game Notes: Southeast Missouri | Tennessee State

The Southeast Missouri women's basketball team returns to the Show Me Center for a 3 p.m. contest against Tennessee State.

The Redhawks return home a game earlier than expected after Monday's contest at Murray State was postponed due to a power failure. That contest will be played on Feb. 19, in Murray, Ky., at 7 p.m.

Southeast is coming off a 75-64 victory at Austin Peay that saw Jordan Hunter score 19 points. Fellow senior Patricia Mack grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds as the Redhawks improved to 1-1 in OVC play and 5-10 overall.

About Tennessee State
The Lady Tigers are 4-11 overall and 1-1 during the short OVC season. Led by Chelsea Hudson with 16.9 points per game, TSU averages 66.0 points per game. Rachel Allen is the only other Lady Tiger to reach double-digit scoring with 11.9 points per game.

The two schools have not had a common opponent up to this point in the season.

Last Meeting

The Lady Tigers prevailed 68-58 in the only meeting between the two schools last year. Jordan Hunter posted a game-high 17 points for the Redhawks while dishing a game-high seven assists in the Jan. 14, 2013 contest in Nashville.

Quick Hits

What a win will do
A win gives Southeast its first winning streak on the season.

A win gives southeast its second-straight 2-1 start in conference play, the same record it started conference play with last season.

Now Trending
Allyson Bradshaw has been on a tear since coming back full strength against Southern Illinois. The junior, who was limited due to injury in the early portion of the season, is the Redhawks leading scorer over their last six games. She is averaging 11.2 points per game, while hitting 36.3 percent of her long-range shots (16-44).

In that same span, senior Patricia Mack is averaging a double-double with 10.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

Contrasting a Win Versus a Loss
In Southeast's five wins this year, the Redhawks place four players in double-digit scoring and average 74.2 points per game. In the 10 losses, just one Redhawk scores in double figures and the team scores just 55.1 points.

The wins also show a +10.6 rebound margin while a loss has Southeast at a -3.5 rebound margin.

Shooting the ball dramatically improves when the Redhawks prevail with a 44.3 clip compared to 33.3 percent in a loss.

All five of Southeast's wins have come after the Redhawks held a halftime lead.

All five wins have also happened with Southeast scoring at least 70 points in a game.

Strange But True
In the Redhawks five wins, they have not forced more than 15 turnovers. Southeast has committed more turnovers than the opponent all but one time in its victories.

Active Team Leader
In 102 career games, Patricia Mack has led the Redhawks in rebounding 46 times, which is the active lead. The senior has a career average of 7.0 boards per game.

Mack is also the active leader with leading the Redhawks in points scored 11 times. Allyson Bradshaw and Kara Wright each rank second with nine times of leading Southeast in scoring.

Active OVC Leaders
Mack is the active leader in the OVC with her 710 rebounds. Jessica Winfrey of UT Martin comes in second with 679 rebounds.

Allyson Bradshaw is ranked seventh on the active 3-pointers made list in the OVC with 104. Heather Butler of UT Martin is ranked first with 331.

Chasing the Record Book

Junior Allyson Bradshaw moved into sixth place all-time on the made 3-point field goal list. With 104 in her career, she now trails Rusty Sowers (1997-99) who drained 110 shots from long range.

After breaking into the top-10 for all-time rebounds, Patricia Mack is continuing her ascent up the list. She passed Kim Palmer for eighth all-time at Missouri State with 705 rebounds. She now has her sight set on Vera Roberts who corralled 719 rebounds from 1986-1990.
