MURRAY, Ky. - Southeast Missouri (2-7, 0-5) dropped a 7-0 decision to Murray State (7-7, 4-1) Saturday afternoon.
Heather Robinson came up short in three sets against Ashley Canty, 5-7, 6-3, 11-9, at the No. 1 singles position before Southeast followed with losses in each of the last five positions.
Elizabeth Nyenwe fell to Carla Suga, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2;
Nikole Novikova was defeated by Megan Blue, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 3;
Jessica Courtnell lost to Erin Patton, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4;
Sarah Uptmor was defeated by Carolyn Huerth, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5; and
Lauren Schaper lost to Suzaan Stoltz, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 6.
Courtnell and Nyenwe defeated Suga and Blue, 8-3, in No. 2 doubles, but the Redhawks surrendered the point after losing at No. 1 and No. 3.
Southeast, which has lost five-straight matches, returns home to host UT Martin on Apr. 2.
