CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (2-5, 0-3) hits the road for a pair of Ohio Valley Conference matches this weekend. The Redhawks will head to Austin Peay (4-10, 1-3) Friday and Murray State (6-6, 3-1) Saturday.
Southeast, which looks to end a three-match losing streak, squares off against Austin Peay at 1 p.m., CT. The Redhawks fell, 7-0, in their last competition at Jacksonville State on Mar. 20.
Jessica Courtnell leads the Redhawks with a 5-2 record in dual singles play this season. Courtnell ranks third in the OVC with a 4-2 mark at the No. 4 singles position.
Nikole Novikova follows with a 4-3 mark between the No. 2 (0-1) and No. 3 (4-2) spots.
In doubles action, Courtnell and
Melissa Martin lead the team with a 4-3 dual record, including a 3-2 mark at No. 3. They rank fifth in the league among No. 3 doubles teams.
The Redhawks close out their Easter weekend with a 9 a.m., CT, match against the Racers. Murray State has won two matches in a row and is presently third in the league standings behind Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State.
