After sitting out Friday’s non-conference win over Lindenwood, Erin Shulman’s fresh legs were on full display against Jacksonville State on Sunday. The sophomore fired a match-high seven shots, outshooting JSU (5) by herself. She broke a scoreless tie in the 67th minute when she got pulled down inside the 18-yard box and was awarded a penalty kick, which she finished for her third goal of the season. She then added an insurance goal in the 79th minute to give Southeast a 2-0 win and extend the Redhawks’ unbeaten streak to five (4-0-1). It was Shulman’s third-career multi-goal outing and moved the Redhawks to 2-0-1 in conference play.
