Myroslava Zelenchuk was awarded the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Player of the Week after she led Southeast Missouri women's tennis with three singles wins at the second (2-0) and third (1-0) slots this past week in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The freshman from Lviv, Ukraine, earned a pair of victories at No. 2 singles over William Woods in SEMO's home-opening doubleheader on March 1. She beat Rukshika Wijesooriya, 6-1, 6-3, in the opener before downing Marta Calvo Larraz, 6-1, 6-0, in the doubleheader finale. Zelenchuk then defeated Bradley's Madalena Andrade, 6-0, 6-4, at third singles on March 5. Zelenchuk is tied for first on the Redhawks in 2022 with five singles wins. The honor marks the first career OVC weekly laurel for Zelenchuk.
