Southeast Missouri senior pitcher Carlos Vega had a strong start against Eastern Kentucky on Thursday night. He struck out seven batters in seven innings of work. Vega was credited a pickoff in the game as well. EKU also had a .192 batting average against him this weekend. He worked seven full innings in Richmond, Kentucky, in the 7-2 SEMO win on Thursday.
