Guard DQ Nicholas scored a season-high 21 points and made a career-best 17-of-19 free throws to lead Southeast Missouri men's basketball to its first Ohio Valley Conference win of the season. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicholas also pulled down seven rebounds, dished out five assists and had three steals in the Redhawks 83-79 double overtime victory over Tennessee State. His 17 free throws made are the most in a game by any OVC player this season. They are also a program record in SEMO’s NCAA Division I era (most since 1991-92). For the week, Nicholas averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and two steals.
