Outlook: The top returning pitcher from last season...a strong righty that can pinpoint the pitch just where he wants it...will be competing for the No. 1 starting slot.

At Southeast
2001: Went 5-2 with a 5.04 ERA last season in 16 appearances...had one complete game and one shutout...struck out 44 batters and recorded one save.

At Iowa Central: Pitched a perfect game in the regional title game to lead the Tritons to the NJCAA Division II World Series in 2000...compiled a record 8-2 with a 1.90 ERA...in just 10 appearances in 1999, tallied a mark of 4-3 with 42 strikeouts in 42.2 innings.

Personal: A 1997 graduate of St. Edmunds where he was a national team All-Star member as a pitcher...also played rugby at St. Edmunds...born 5.13.80...son of Cathy Purcell...physical education major at Southeast...also recruited by nationally-ranked Stetson.
