On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, Southeast Missouri signed 35 players for the 2022 season. The 35-member recruiting class is the largest in SEMO's football history.

All-Conference and All-State selection as a freshman...Tore his ACL, MCL and meniscus after that season and was sidelined his sophomore year...Earned honorable mention All-State honors as a senior...Three-star recruit.
 

Paxton DeLaurent

Played quarterback for two years at Central Methodist University...Earned Heart of America All-Conference honors...Completed 171-of-349 passes for 2,499 yards and 25 touchdowns as the Eagles starting quarterback in 2021...Averaged 208.3 passing yards per game over 12 contests...Was also CMU's top rusher with 553 yards and seven touchdowns on 120 carries...Saw action in five games and threw for 526 yards and six touchdowns as a freshman in 2020...Attended Camdenton High School, where he amassed 7,909 passing yards and 98 touchdowns in 31 career games...Was First-Team All-State and the Missouri Class 4A Player of the Year as a senior...Also earned First-Team All-Conference and All-Region honors that season.

Played four years of varsity football and started two seasons at Palmetto Prep Academy...Earned Palm Beach ESPN Top 63 and Super 11 for Treasure Coast Top 11 player honors for seniors in the area...Played in the Florida/Georgia Showcase...Did not give up a touchdown at cornerback during his entire high school career...Can also play safety.

First-Team All-State and Missouri High School Football Coaches Association Class 6 Offensive Player of the Year in 2021...Completed 197-of-313 passes (63 percent) for 2,974 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior at Christian Brothers College High School...Ran for 461 yards and another 12 touchdowns that year, as well...Tied for second on the team in scoring with 72 points...Threw for 1,230 yards and 15 touchdowns, and ran for 275 yards and two scores during his junior season...Helped lead the Cadets to a 13-1 record and Missouri Class 6 State Championship in 2021.

Finalist for the Carr Trophy which goes to the most outstanding player in the SEMO Conference...Ran for 1,232 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 8.8 yards per carry in 2021...Also caugh nine passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns...Is seeking to become Kennett High School's first Carr Trophy winner since 1985...Earned Class 3 All-State honors...Was teammates with Latreveon Thompson who is also part of the Redhawks 2022 signing class.

Ran for 2,702 yards and 40 touchdowns in his career at River Ridge High School...Scored a total of 42 touchdowns...Still managed to lead his team in rushing with 505 yards and six touchdowns on just 66 carries despite being hindered by injury most of his senior season...Was Cherokee County's leading rusher with 1,958 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2020...A dynamic runner who played a major role in River Ridge High School's resurgence over the last few years...Following a 4-16 record from 2016-18, he helped lead the Knights to a 15-5 mark over his final two prep seasons.

Won the Regional Radio Football Player of the Year honor for the second year in a row at Park Hills Central High School...Class 3 All-State honoree...Ran for 1,583 yards and 24 touchdowns to go along with nearly 12 yards per carry his senior season...Is Central's all-time scoring leader with 71 touchdowns and has the school's career rushing record with 5,278 yards...Also has the school record for single-game scoring and the single-game rushing record of 381 yards.

Transferred to Iowa Western Community College from the University of Central Missouri...Was Iowa Western's top receiver in 2021 with 32 receptions for 545 yards and five touchdowns...Averaged 17 yards per catch...Suffered a preseason injury and missed the start of the 2019 season at UCM...Ended up making 17 catches for 170 yards in 10 games that year...Redshirted as a true freshman in 2018...Went to Homewood-Flossmoor High School where he was an All-Conference pick.

Earned First-Team All-Southwestern Conference honors as a defensive tackle at Edwardsville High School...Ranked third on the team with 55 tackles and recorded a team-high five sacks and 11 tackles for loss...Posted a career-best four sacks vs. Alton...Finished his senior year with 27 solo tackles and 28 assisted stops...Turned in 23 tackles, six tackles for loss and four sacks as a junior.

Finished his two-year stint at Southwest Mississippi Community College with 22 receptions for 303 yards and two touchdowns during the 2021 season...Was the Bears' top return man who ran back 23 kickoffs for 562 yards (24.4 ypr) and one touchdown...Also returned two punts for touchdowns...Two-time First-Team All-Region selection at Gautier High School...Won four state titles in powerlifting..Was Gautier's leading rusher and passer his senior season.
