Redhawks Host Southern Indiana
•   Southeast Missouri hosts Southern Indiana in its final home Ohio Valley Conference series this weekend. SEMO and USI will play a single game at 3 p.m. Saturday followed by a doubleheader at 12 p.m., CT Sunday.
•   Video for all three games of this weekend's series can be accessed online at ESPN+.
•   There will be a Rowdy softball bobblehead giveaway at Sunday's doubleheader.
•   SEMO plays its last four home games of the season when it welcomes Southern Indiana (Apr. 26-27) and Murray State (Apr. 30).
•   SEMO posted series wins against nine of its last 12 OVC foes dating back to the 2024 season.
Series Notes
•   Southeast Missouri holds a 22-3 lead in its all-time series against Southern Indiana.
•   SEMO is 12-1 against USI in Cape Girardeau.
•   The Screaming Eagles won the series in Evansville last season, snapping a nine-game losing streak against the Redhawks.
•   SEMO swept USI the last time it played at the Southeast Softball Complex in 2023.
•   USI is in its third year as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.
•   Mark Redburn is 4-2 against the Screaming Eagles as SEMO's head coach.
OVC Series Wins
•   Southeast Missouri posted series wins in five of its seven Ohio Valley Conference weekends.
•   SEMO swept Western Illinois (Mar. 14-15) on the road and Morehead State (Apr. 12-13) at home.
•   The Redhawks also took two of three at home vs. UT Martin (Mar. 8-9), at Lindenwood (Apr. 6-7) and at Tennessee Tech (Apr. 18-19) for their other series wins this year.
•   In all, SEMO has 52 series wins and 41 series sweeps against OVC foes with Mark Redburn as its head coach.
Redburn Celebrates Milestone Wins
•   Mark Redburn recently celebrated two milestones in his head coaching career.
•   Redburn earned his 150th career Ohio Valley Conference win when Southeast Missouri beat Morehead State, 11-7, on Apr. 12.
•   Six days later, Redburn picked up his 500th career victory as a head coach when the Redhawks defeated Tennessee Tech, 6-3, on Apr. 18.
•   Overall, Redburn is 501-474 in 21 years as a head coach between stops at St. Charles Community College, Jefferson College, Evansville and Southeast Missouri.
•   In OVC games, Redburn is 154-87 all-time.
Hitting Streak Stops at 11 Games for Saysoff
•   Brooklyn Saysoff's career-long 11-game hitting streak came to an end in Southeast Missouri's series finale at Tennessee Tech (Apr. 19).
•   Saysoff had multiple hits four times and multiple RBI on seven occasions during that stretch which began on Mar. 22.
•   Her 11-game hitting streak stands as the second-longest on the team this season.
Seven-Game Winning Streak Ends
•   Southeast Missouri's season-long seven-game winning streak ended with a one-run loss to Tennessee Tech (Apr. 19).
•   SEMO won each of the last two games of its series at Lindenwood (Apr. 6-7), swept Morehead State (Apr. 12-13) and won its first two games of its series at Tennessee Tech (Apr. 18) during that span.
•   It was SEMO's longest winning streak since the Redhawks won 10 in a row during the 2023 campaign.
Over 20 Wins
•   With its doubleheader sweep of Tennessee Tech (Apr. 18), Southeast Missouri went over 20 wins this season.
•   SEMO improved to 21-14 overall and ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference behind Eastern Illinois (25-17) and SIU Edwardsville (25-18) in wins.
Strong April
•   The Redhawks are 7-2 with three series wins in April.
•   As a team, Southeast Missouri has 23 extra base hits this month, including 13 doubles, three triples and seven home runs.
•   Pitching wise, SEMO has allowed just three runs per game in April.
•   Brooklyn Saysoff is hitting .480 with eight runs scored, 12 hits, five doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI in April alone. Saysoff has reached base in 12-straight games, as well.
Winkler on Seven-Game Hitting Streak
•   Right fielder Madison Winkler carries a seven-game hitting streak into this weekend's series against Southern Indiana.
•   Winkler's current hitting streak is tied for third-longest on the team in 2025.
•   She is hitting .450 during her active hitting streak.
OVC Success
•   Since 2019, Southeast Missouri has won three Ohio Valley Conference championships, two OVC Tournament titles and made the NCAA Tournament twice.
•   SEMO finished among the top two teams in the OVC during four of the last five years.
•   The Redhawks won the OVC regular-season title in 2019, 2021 and 2023 (all odd years) during that span.
•   In its last five seasons, SEMO finished with 16 or more OVC victories.Â
•   The Redhawks were 19-8 in 2024, 20-2 in 2023, 16-10 in 2022, 23-6 in 2021 and 17-5 in 2019.
•   SEMO averaged less than seven (6.5) league losses over the last six seasons. Since 2018, the Redhawks have gone 124-44 against OVC foes.
•   The reigning OVC Tournament Champion Redhawks will vye for their eighth OVC Tournament crown in 2025.
•   Mark Redburn is 154-87 all-time in OVC games. Redburn's 154 conference wins are the most among the league's 10 active head coaches.
•   SEMO had winning OVC records in seven-straight seasons.
OVC Update
•   At 14-6, Southeast Missouri is third in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with six league games remaining.
•   SEMO is three games out of first place behind Eastern Illinois (17-3) and SIU Edwardsville (15-5). EIU and SIUE play each other this weekend.Â
•   EIU is presently the hottest team in the conference with a 10-game OVC winning streak. The Panthers have not lost an OVC game since the Redhawks beat them, 3-0, on Mar. 28.
•   The Panthers completed series sweeps against each of their last three OVC opponents.
•   SEMO hosts fourth-place Southern Indiana (10-9) this weekend before concluding its league slate at sixth-place Tennessee State (10-10).
First Home Run for Bradley
•   Tori Bradley hit a pinch-hit home run for the first round-tripper of her career at Tennessee Tech (Apr. 19).
•   Bradley scored Southeast Missouri's first run of the game when she homered over the center field wall in the top of the fourth inning.
•   She became the seventh Redhawk to hit a home run this season.

•   Sydney Dennis leads the Ohio Valley Conference with a .433 batting average.
•   Dennis is one of only two players in the league hitting over .400 this season. Eastern Illinois' Kendall Grover (.412) is the other.
•   She leads Southeast Missouri in batting average, hits (52), triples (3), runs scored (28) and on-base percentage (.466) through 35 games.
•   Dennis struck out only five times in 120 at-bats this year.
Complete Game Kell
•   Delaney Kell threw a team-high four complete games this season.
•   Kell is 7-3 in 16 appearances and eight starts.
•   She leads the Redhawks in wins, shutouts (2), saves (1) and innings pitched (59.1).
•   Kell has thrown 10 complete games in her career.Â
About Southern Indiana
•   Southern Indiana is coming off a series sweep over UT Martin.
•   USI is fourth in the standings, 3.5 games behind Southeast Missouri.
•   The Screaming Eagles are last in the Ohio Valley Conference in hitting with a .242 batting average.
•   Caroline Stapleton leads USI with a .355 batting average, while Lily Brown (.308) and Jordan Mackey (.303) are also hitting over .300 this season.

•   Redhawk hitters are striking out less than four times (3.2) per game.

•   SEMO hitters went three games without striking out this season.
•   Sydney Dennis is the toughest on the team and second toughest in the OVC to strike out. Dennis has struck out only five times in 120 at-bats this year.

•   Southeast Missouri leads the Ohio Valley Conference in batting average (.316), doubles per game (1.54), earned run averaged (2.98), on-base percentage (.397), RBI per game (5.2), strikeout-to-walk ratio (1.74), strikeouts per seven innings (4.7) and sacrifice flies (13).Â
•   Individually, Sydney Dennis tops the OVC in batting average (.433) and hits (52). Tegan Livesay is first in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.00), Brooklyn Saysoff is first in RBI per game (1.20) and RBI (42), Maddie Carney is first in ERA (2.35) and Willow Van Haren is first in fewest hits allowed per seven innings (6.0).

•   Southeast Missouri is currently 6-3 at the Southeast Softball Complex this season.
