Redhawks Set for Thanksgiving Tournament MTE Saturday & Sunday
Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (2-2) will continue non-conference action in the program's first holiday tournament since the 2022-23 season in Tempe, Arizona. The Redhawks are set to battle the host and Big 12 Conference member Arizona State on Saturday, November 29. SEMO will conclude the tournament on Sunday, Nov. 30, when they take on San Diego. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. and 12 p.m., CT., respectively, from Desert Financial Arena.
Unfamiliar Foes
SEMO Women's Basketball will face Arizona State and San Diego for the first time on Saturday and Sunday. The Redhawks have never faced either the Sun Devils or Toreros on the hardwood.
The Holidays
The Thanksgiving MTE Tournament marks the first holiday tournament that SEMO Women's Basketball has played in since the 2022-23 season, and the first under second year head coach, Briley Palmer. SEMO last traveled to the 'UCF Thanksgiving Classic' where they faced off with current Big 12 member UCF, and Atlantic 10 Rhode Island.
Last Time Out
SEMO Women's Basketball brings a one-game winning streak to the desert having defeated Wichita State last Tuesday, November 18, in Wichita, Kansas by a final score of 69-62. The Redhawks entered the fourth quarter trailing 50-47 but outscored the Shockers by a 22-12 count in the final period to seal the victory. Graduate student guard
Raissa Nsabua finished the game with a SEMO career-high 11 points and iced the game at the charity stripe going 5-6 in the final quarter.
Lexi McCully paced the Redhawks with a team and season-high, 18 points.
Get to the Line
Through four games this season, the Redhawks are amongst the nation's best at getting to the free throw line and cashing them in. SEMO ranks eighth in the nation at free throw attempts per game with 27.5, which ranks them first in the Ohio Valley Conference. With 18.5 free throws made per game, the Redhawks rank 11

Raissa Nsabua leads the Redhawks in assists per game with 5.7 through four games. Nsabua ranks 28
th in the country in APG and first in the conference having dished out 17 assists this season. Earlier this season, Nsabua dished out a career best 11 assists against Missouri State (11/11).

Center
Ainaya Williams has patrolled the paint for the Redhawks through four games having recorded nine blocks this season, including a season-high five blocks last time out at Wichita State. Williams ranks 22
nd in the country in blocks per game with 2.25 and leads the OVC in the same category. Last Tuesday's contest at Wichita State marked Williams' 12
th-straight game with a block dating back to the 2024-25 season.

Graduate guard
Lexi McCully continues to pace the Redhawks offense. McCully comes into the weekend averaging 16.5 PPG and is coming off her season-high 18 points last Tuesday at Wichita State. McCully began the season with three-straight games with exactly 16 points before scoring 18 against WSU. McCully is shooting 42.1-percent from the field, 34.6-percent from three, and 70-percent at the foul line.
Great First Start
Freshman
Zoey Rixter made her first career start of her collegiate career last Tuesday at Wichita State. Rixter, who entered the game as the Redhawks leading rebounder, continued her ways with a career best 10 rebounds. In 29 minutes of action, Rixter recorded 10 boards, two assists, a block, and a point to help lead SEMO to a seven-point victory. Rixter continues to lead the Redhawks in rebounds with 30 (7.5 RPG) through four games.
Finish Strong
Through four games, SEMO WBB has dominated the fourth quarter outscoring its opponents by a +27-scoring differential. The Redhawks are winning the fourth quarter by a 95-68 advantage, including last Tuesday when they won the fourth quarter 22-12.
Assist to Turnover Ratio
The Redhawks have done a great job this season of sharing the basketball and taking care of it as through four games they hold a +0.7 assist to turnover ratio. SEMO has dished out 47 assists this season, led by
Raissa Nsabua.
The Twins
The backcourt duo of Carmen and
Charmen Taylor have provided the Redhawks with great stability both in the starting lineup and off the bench. The identical twins each average 8.0 PPG as
Carmen Taylor is coming off a SEMO career-high 13 points last Tuesday at Wichita State. Charmen made her first start against Evansville (11/6) and recorded her SEMO career-high 16 points against the Purple Aces. A Taylor has been in the SEMO starting lineup in each game this season.

First Start in the Paint
Junior forward
Aa'Mya Stacker made her first start in the paint for the Redhawks last Tuesday night playing 15:39 at Wichita State. Stacker scored six points on 2-6 shooting and scored two more points at the charity stripe. She hauled in three boards and dished out an assist. She is averaging 5.3 PPG and 5.3 RPG through four games and has played in each game this season.
