
Redhawks head to Atlanta for this Weekend's Georgia Tech Invitational

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri track & field travels to Atlanta, Ga. for the Georgia Tech Invite April 19 - 20. The meet will be held at the George C. Griffin Track complex.
The meet will feature 46 schools across Division One (26), Division Two (12), Division Three (5), NAIA (2), and HBCU (1).
On Friday the field events begin at 9:00 a.m CT with the hammer throw while the running events start at 4:30 p.m with the 100m hurdles.
On Saturday the field events are slated for 10:00 a.m and the running events are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. The last event begins at 4:30 p.m on Saturday with the 4x400m relay.
Last Time Out
Breanna Miles took the trophy in the women's 400-meter. The senior crossed the line at 55.09 for a new season best.
Parker Feuerborn stood alone atop the podium in the hammer throw after throwing for a mark of 226' 10" ahead of 19 other athletes.
The squad of Serena Williams, Sydney Burdine, Leanza Dwaah, and Miles claimed the silver medal (46.49) and a new season best in the 4x100.
Jaden Kight threw the javelin for a mark of 144' 02" for the silver medal.
Garrett Dumke grabbed the third place medal in the 5000-meter with a time of 14:50.46.
After the javelin throw finished Shea DeGraaf was wearing the bronze (202' 06").
Clayton Eftink and Jacob Blassingame crossed the line at 9:50.28 (12th) and 9:57.22 (14th) for new personal bests.
In the 1500m Cade McCadams ran the event in 4:04.94 (25th) for a new PR.
Hannah Eastman finished the women's 1500-meter in a new personal best time of 4:38.26 (7th). Eastman also achieved a new PR in the 800m (2:21.92, 12th).
Connor Moore ran the 100m dash in 10.95 (18th) for a new personal record.
In the men's 800, Micah Grawer crossed the finish line at 1:56.62 for ninth and a new PR.
With jumps of 19' 02" and 19' 0.5" Todjai Ross and Molly Grohmann notched new personal bests in the long jump.
Marcus Gordon Jr. jumped 400m of hurdles in a new PR time of 56.72 (11th).
Brianna Dixon chalked up a seventh place finish in the 400m Hurdles (1:05.42) while posting a new PR.
Burdine crossed the line at 24.27 for a new personal record and a ninth place finish in the 200-meter dash.
Bailee Hux threw the hammer for a distance of 165' 06" for a new PR mark (12th).
With a time of 18:11.25 Lexie Dockstader achieved a new personal best time in the 5000m.
Weekly Award Winners
Parker Feuerborn claimed his second straight Ohio Valley Field Athlete of the Week award after throwing for a mark of 69.15 to take the gold ahead of 19 other athletes. That mark is ranked second in the OVC only behind himself, and is the 16th best throw in the nation. The distance is also the third best throw in the SEMO record books.

For each individual event the top 48 performances will be accepted into the NCAA regional which is broken up into East and West. For each relay event, the top 24 relay teams will be accepted into the competition. The top 24 performances in the combined events (Heptathlon and Decathlon) are accepted directly into the Championships.
The sport is broken up into nine regions, SEMO is in the Midwest Region which includes all the Division One schools from Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South and North Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Illinois.
Southeast Missouri has three athletes ranked in the top 50 of the country, 24 performances ranked in the top 20 in the Midwest Region, and 12 first place performances in the Ohio valley Conference.
Parker Feuerborn has the ninth best mark in the nation, (3rd regionally, 1st conference) in the hammer throw. The graduate student achieved a distance of 235' 1" at the Richard Martin Invite March 15th, 2024.
Paden Lewis is ranked 48th in the NCAA, ninth in the region in the hammer throw. Lewis achieved a mark of 210' 4" at the Tennessee Invite April 5th. Lewis also ranks 15th regionally, first in the conference in the shot put (57' 9"), and 14th regionally, first in the Ohio Valley in the discus (176' 3").
Shea DeGraaf scored 7029 points at the Joey Haines Invite to be ranked 35th in the nation and fifth in the region. DeGraaf also has the ninth best throw in the region and best throw in the conference in the Javelin (204' 4").
Breann Miles is ranked 11th in the region in the 100-meter (11.59), ranked 14th in the region in the 200m (1st OVC) (23.84).
Terrico Garrett is ranked 15th in the region in the 800-meter with a time of 1:50.08.
Hannah Eastman is ranked 20th (1st OVC) (35:44.18) in the 10,000m in the region.
Laila Hardin has the 14th best 400-meter time in the region and top finish in the OVC with a time of 1:00.82.
The SEMO 4x100 women's squad of Williams, Burdine, Dwaah, Miles (46.49) and the men's team of Koontz, Parham, Moore, Brema (42.37) both rank 14th in the Midwest Region.
In the 4x400 the men's squad of Moore, Crawford, Parham, Garrett ranks 13th in the region with a time of 3:13.81 and the women's team of Miles, Dwaah, Hardin, Burdine ranks 11th (1st OVC) as well in the region with a time of 3:50.59.
In the high jump Mason Clough cleared a height of 6' 7.5" to be ranked 19th in the region.
Breanna Dixon jumped over a height of 5' 8.75" to be ranked 12th in the region, and first in the OVC.
Clara Billing cleared a height of 13' 3.5 to be ranked 12th in the region, and first in the Ohio Valley in the women's pole vault.
In the shot put and hammer throw Marshall Swadley has marks of 56' 0.5" (19th regionally) and 207' 7" (13th regionally).
Justin Breault is ranked 12th (198' 7") best javelin throws in the Midwest Region in the javelin. On the women's side Jaden Kight ranks 13th in the midwest region and first in the conference (152' 4").
Anna Thomason is ranked 12th in the region and first in the OVC in the heptathlon with 5006 total points scored.
Isaac Readnour scored 6253 points in the decathlon, ranking 14th in the Midwest Region.

The Southeast Missouri men's track and field team is ranked 91st in the nation with 15.79 points coming from Parker Feuerborn's hammer throw mark of 235' 1" (71.65m), Paden Lewis' hammer throw mark of 210' 4" (64.10), and Shea DeGraaf's decathlon score of 7,029 points.
The team is ranked 17th in the Midwest Region with 158.74 total points and third in the conference with 935.45 points behind Little Rock in first with 1,261.01 points.
The men's squad teams that are ranked in the top 50 in the nation are the discus throw team (38th), the hammer throw team (5th), javelin throw team (28th), the pole vault team (13th), and the shot put team (22nd).
