COLUMBIA, Mo. - Hannah Eastman breaks the school record in the 6k finishing in tenth at the Gans Creek Classic. The Men finished in 16th with three new personal bests while the women finished in 18th with five new personal bests.
Record Broken
Hannah Eastman broke the 6000-meter school record when she placed tenth leading all SEMO women for the third time this season. The graduated student from Illinois crossed the line at 21:12.5. ahead of 225 athletes from 24 different conferences.
8000 Results
Once again Noah Little led the SEMO men for his third race in a row, placing 37th. Little crossed the line for a new personal best at 24:59.0.
Garrett Dumke finished the race in 25:36.3 for 73rd but second for the SEMO men, while notching a new PR.  Â
The Missouri native,
Seth Gleason posted a time of 26:21.0 for 122nd and third in the SEMO men.
Terrico Garrett and
Cade McCadams finished back to back in 134th and 135th, with times of 26:36.9 and 26:37.2.
Juniors
Justin Splitt and
Louis Primeau notched times of 26:53.4 and new personal record time of 27:22.6 for 158th and 178th place.
The senior,
Aaron Modrow ran the 8000-meter in 27:52.1, finishing in 185th place.
Micah Grawer and
Jacob Blassingame rounded out the SEMO men with times of 27:58.6 and 28:41.5.
6000 Results
Lexie Dockstader finished in 116th while
Taylor Fox crossed the line .06 seconds behind her. Both posted new personal bests with times of 23:25.2 and 23:25.8. Â Â
Sarah Russom crossed the line at 23:27.5 for 121 overall but fourth in the SEMO women, earning a new PR.
The freshman Brooklyn Bender finished her first ever 6000-meter in 133rd, running the race in 23:35.8.
Alayna Sparr earned a new PR when she crossed the line at 24:01.2 in 163 place.
Kayla Vogelsang notched a new PR by almost 50 seconds with a time of 24:17.1.  Â
The Senior
Brianna Payton ran the race in 24:22.0 for 175th. Â Â
Haley Smith and
Mackenzie Pugh ran the 6k in 24:40.3 and 25:24.1 for 184th and 199th place.
Looking Ahead
The Redhawks will be on the road again, this time in Evansville, Indiana to compete in the Angel Mounds Invitational on Friday, October 13. The meet is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. with the women's 6000-meter followed by the men's 8000-meter at 10:00 a.m.
