Series History
This year marks the first meeting on the diamond between Southeast Missouri and Milwaukee. These teams were initially scheduled to open the 2021 campaign in Cape Girardeau, but a snow in the area stepped in the way of the games being played. Instead, SEMO traveled to South Alabama for a three-game series.

Midweek Games
Southeast Missouri dropped to 0-2 in midweek action with its 14-8 loss to Evansville (Mar. 1). SEMO is 31-41 all-time in midweek games under Head Coach Andy Sawyers.

Redhawks Fall in Home-Opener
The Redhawks opened their home slate with a 14-8 setback against Missouri Valley Conference foe Evansville Wednesday. The Redhawks are now 21-11 all-time in home-openers during its NCAA Division I era (since 1992). SEMO is 4-3 in such games under Head Coach Andy Sawyers. Sawyers' home-opening wins came in 2017 (22-2, vs. Western Illinois), 2019 (5-1, vs. Western Michigan), 2021 (4-3, vs. Illinois State) and 2022 (8-7, vs. Bellarmine).

Lots of Home Games
The Redhawks are at home for 13 of the first 19 days in March. Southeast Missouri began a nine-game homestand with its midweek tilt vs. Evansville on Mar 1. After this weekend's series vs. Milwaukee, SEMO hosts Indiana State (Mar. 7-8), Butler (Mar. 10-12), Missouri State (Mar. 15) and Western Illinois (Mar. 17-19).

Cameron Named OVC Player of the Week
Southeast Missouri outfielder Josh Cameron won the first Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week award of his career on Feb. 27. A native of Pflugerville, Texas, Cameron hit .471 with three home runs, two triples, a double and six RBI in five starts. He also scored six runs, walked twice, had one stolen base and boasted a 1.294 slugging percentage. Cameron collected multiple hits in three of his games. He began the week going 2-for-4 with a run scored, double, home run and two RBI at Middle Tennessee (Feb. 21). Cameron then fell a double shy of hitting for the cycle when he went 3-for-4 with four runs, a triple, home run and three RBI at Abilene Christian (Feb. 25). Cameron homered again in game three against the Wildcats before wrapping up the series with two more hits. Eastern Illinois' Ky Hampton was the week's OVC Pitcher of the Week.

Grand Slam for Aranda
Designated hitter Carlos Aranda hit Southeast Missouri's first grand slam of the season against Evansville (Mar. 1). Aranda's grand slam came in the bottom of the third inning and narrowed UE's lead to 7-5 at the time. It was Aranda's second home run of the season and first grand slam of his career.

Multiple Home Runs
Four Redhawks have multiple home runs through nine games this season. Josh Cameron leads the way with three, while Carlos Aranda, Lincoln Andrews and Chance Resetich follow close behind with two apiece. Southeast Missouri has hit nine of its 11 home runs this season in its last four games alone.

900 in Reach
Southeast Missouri needs just one more win to get 900 during its NCAA Division I lifespan. SEMO is 899-780 since joining the Division I ranks in 1992.

Offensive Explosion
The Redhawks used a 23-2 victory to split a doubleheader with Abilene Christian (Feb. 25). Southeast Missouri erupted for 23 runs on 21 hits to blow out the Wildcats in the nightcap. SEMO destoryed ACU pitching for nine extra base hits, including four home runs. The Redhawks had 20 RBI with six different players getting both multiple runs and multiple hits. It was SEMO's most runs in a game since the Redhawks put up 26 in a 26-2 win at UT Martin Mar. 26, 2016.

Top Hitter
Josh Cameron leads Southeast Missouri with a .394 batting average as the only Redhawk hitting over .300 at this point in the season. Cameron leads SEMO in hits (13), runs (10), doubles (2), triples (2), home runs (3), slugging percentage (.848) and stolen bases (3). He ranks sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in batting average, fifth in slugging percentage and on-base percentage (.487), tied for first in hits and third in runs scored heading into this weekend.

100 Starts
Jevon Mason made his 100th career start at Central Arkansas (Feb. 17). Mason (107) is now the third active player on this year's roster with over 100 career starts joining Peyton Leeper (119) and Lincoln Andrews (114).

Getting on Base
Josh Cameron has reached base in seven-straight games. Four players, including Lincoln Andrews, Brett Graber, Carlos Aranda and Peyton Leeper got on base each of the last four contests.
