STILLWATER, Okla. - Southeast Missouri Cross Country wrapped up its 2023 season Friday at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Midwest Regional held at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.
The SEMO women placed 30th with 825 total points.
When asked about the NCAA Regionals Coach
Ryan Lane said, "We took a big risk with Eastman at the halfway point to try to qualify for the NCAA Championship. It was a high risk, high reward but she ran super well. Madalyn Gray ran really well and our young runners got a lot of good experience. Thought it was a great way to end the season and we are looking forward to a break and to track season."
"We had nine personal bests on the women's side, five personal best from the men during the Ohio Valley Conference meet. Which means 14 out of 18 runners achieved new personal best, while both moved up in conference rankings. It's hard to not call that a successful year, and that makes us look forward to the track season", Coach Lane said about the year as a whole.
