CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri Cross Country will be on the road traveling to compete in the Angel Mounds Invitational tomorrow. The meet will be held on Friday, October 13 in Evansville, Indiana. The University of Southern Indiana and the University of Evansville will be hosting the event.
The Invitational will begin with the women's 6000-meter race at 9:00 a.m., CT, then the men's 8000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., CT.
The meet will feature teams from the Ohio Valley Conference, Atlantic Sun, Missouri Valley Conference, and Conference USA. The meet will also feature some NAIA teams and Junior College teams.Â
The course is divided into 2k and 3k loops for the women's 6000-meter course and the men's 8000-meter course.
Last Time Out
The Redhawks last competed at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo., where The Men finished in 16th with three new personal bests while the women finished in 18th with five new personal bests.
Hannah Eastman broke the 6000-meter school record when she placed tenth leading all SEMO women for the third time this season.
Once again
Noah Little led the SEMO men for his third race in a row, placing 37th. Little crossed the line for a new personal best at 24:59.0.
Garrett Dumke finished the race in 25:36.3 for 73rd but second for the SEMO men, while notching a new PR.
Lexie Dockstader finished in 116th while
Taylor Fox crossed the line .06 seconds behind her. Both posted new personal bests with times of 23:25.2 and 23:25.8. Â Â
Sarah Russom crossed the line at 23:27.5 for 121 overall but fourth in the SEMO women, earning a new PR.
Looking Ahead
The Redhawks will be competing in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships in Morehead, Ky. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
