Redhawks Add Pitcher Brian Strange to 2024 Class

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri added right-handed pitcher Brian Strange to its 2024 recruiting class Wednesday.
A native of Westfield, Massachusetts, Strange pitched his freshman season at Mineral Area College. There, he appeared in 13 games and logged 10 starts while striking out 69 in 58 innings. Strange threw one complete game, as well. He recorded a season-high 12 strikeouts vs. Jefferson College.
"Brian is a confident and aggressive athlete with a great arm and good enough stuff to either start or fill in a prime spot in the back of the bullpen," said SEMO Head Coach Andy Sawyers.
Strange was a starting pitcher at Westfield High School where he racked up 100 strikeouts in two seasons for the Bombers, losing one season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Strange joins left-handed pitcher Alex Hayes and shortstop Brooks Kettering in the Redhawks 2024 class.
