Redhawks Face Austin Peay AgainÂ
Southeast Missouri (7-14, 5-10) begins its final homestand of the season when it hosts Austin Peay (13-8, 9-6) Tuesday. Tip is set for 6 p.m., CT at the Show Me Center.

Series History
Austin Peay leads its all-time series against Southeast Missouri, 43-22. The Governors have won each of the last eight meetings between the teams. APSU won the last six games of the series by double figures.
Second Time Around
Southeast Missouri and Austin Peay meet for the second time in three days Tuesday. The Redhawks recently dropped a 78-63 decision to the Governors in Clarksville, Tennessee on Feb. 13.
Last Three Home Games
The Redhawks play their final three home games of the season this week. Southeast Missouri hosts Austin Peay (Feb. 16) and Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 20, Feb. 22) in its last three contests at the Show Me Center.
About Austin Peay
Austin Peay and Murray State were picked as the Ohio Valley Conference preseason favorites. The Governors enter Saturday's contest at fifth in the league standings with a 13-8 overall record and 9-6 mark in OVC play. APSU has the reigning OVC Player of the Year Terry Taylor. Taylor leads the league in scoring and rebounding with 21.7 points and 11 rebounds per game, respectively. The Governors lead the OVC with 12.5 offensive rebounds. Taylor scored 32 points and had 14 rebounds against the Redhawks on Feb. 13.
Looking for a Win
The Redhawks are looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Southeast Missouri is 1-4 in February with all four of its losses by double figures. SEMO fell to Jacksonville State (66-54) at home on Feb. 6 and Murray State (80-60, Feb. 11) and Austin Peay (78-63, Feb. 13) on the road in its previous three contests.
Three Games in Five Days
Southeast Missouri is in a stretch of playing three games in five days. The Redhawks dropped road matchups at Murray State (Feb. 12) and Austin Peay (Feb. 14). After a two-day break, SEMO turns around to face Austin Peay again on Feb. 16.
Back-to-Back Days
Southeast Missouri played back-to-back days for the first time this season. The Redhawks suffered an 80-60 loss to Murray State (Feb. 12) and a 78-63 loss to Austin Peay (Feb. 13). Both of those losses were on the road. SEMO and MSU were initially supposed to play on Feb. 11, but that game was postponed a day later due to a winter storm that covered the region in sleet and snow.Â
Reed, Jr. Nets Career-High
Eric Reed, Jr. finished with a career-high 21 points at Austin Peay (Feb. 13). Reed, Jr. shot 9-of-16 from the field and knocked down three 3-pointers. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out two assists in 33 minutes. Reed, Jr. is the fourth different Redhawk to score over 20 points in a game this season. He moved to second on the team in scoring with 9.4 points a game following that performance.
Taylor Returns
Forward Nolan Taylor, who missed four games with a knee injury, returned to score 10 points off the bench at Murray State (Feb. 12). Taylor shot 5-of-9 from the field and grabbed three rebounds in 13 minutes.
Three of Five
Southeast Missouri won three of its last five games at the Show Me Center. SEMO beat SIU Edwardsville, 64-62, on Jan. 28, Eastern Illinois, 75-44, on Jan. 30 and Tennessee Tech, 68-64, on Feb. 4.Â
Redhawks Match Win Total
With its win over Tennessee Tech (Feb. 4), Southeast Missouri claimed its seventh victory of the season. As a result, the Redhawks matched their total number of wins in 2019-20. SEMO's seventh win came 11 days earlier than it did a year ago. The Redhawks picked up their seventh and final victory of the 2019-20 campaign vs. SIU Edwardsville on Feb. 15.
Season 114
The Redhawks are in their 114th season of basketball. A win Thursday will give Southeast Missouri its 350th victory as an NCAA Division I program. This year is the Redhawks 30th as an NCAA Division I program. SEMO is 349-519 since joining the Division I ranks in 1991-92.
Where The Stand
The Redhawks enter the weekend at eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with five games to go. Southeast Missouri (5-10), UT Martin (5-11), Eastern Illinois (4-12, Tennessee Tech (3-12) and Tennessee State (2-14) occupy the 8-12 spots in the standings. The top eight teams go to this year's OVC Tournament in Evansville, Indiana.
Seven NCAA Division I WinsÂ
Southeast Missouri picked up its seventh NCAA Division I win this season with its 68-64 victory over Jacksonville State (Feb. 4). SEMO surpassed its number of wins (5) over NCAA Division I teams a year ago. The seven Division I wins are SEMO's most in a season since it had eight in 2018-19.
Close Games
Southeast Missouri, which has been outscored by a tight 3.9 margin, dropped three contests in overtime and one on a last second shot since its 2020-21 campaign began on Nov. 28. SEMO has lost seven times by double figures (77-66, at Belmont, Jan. 7; 64-50, vs. Morehead State, Jan. 16; 76-65 at Morehead State, Jan. 21; 77-60 vs. Murray State, Feb. 1; 66-54 vs. Jacksonville State; 80-60 at Murray State, Feb. 12; 78-63 at Austin Peay, Feb. 13) and won six games by no more than five points. SEMO also dropped three games by three points or less. Additionally, the Redhawks been involved in seven games decided by no more than four points.
