Series History
SEMO leads the all-time series against Harris-Stowe, 4-0. The Redhawks won the last meeting between these teams by a score of 80-65 on the exact same day (Dec. 29) a year ago. The largest margin of victory for the Redhawks over the Hornets was 28 points (73-45) on Feb. 4, 2008.

Scouting the Hornets
The Hornets are 1-9 this season with their lone victory over Missouri Valley (Nov. 9). Harris-Stowe is currently on a seven-game losing streak and has not recorded a win in over a month of play. The Hornets average 60.5 points, 42.5 rebounds, and 26 turnovers per contest. HSSU ranks nationally in the NAIA in offensive rebounds per game (22nd, 15), total rebounds per game (23rd, 42.5), defensive rebounds per game (37th, 27.5) and steals per game (40th, 9.8). Senior LaDaijha Watson ranks 42nd in steals per game (2.3). Watson averages 10.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. This is the first season under SEMO alum and head coach Seth McDowell. McDowell played football at SEMO from 2002-06.

1,000 Point Club
Junior Tesia Thompson became just the 10th Redhawk in the Division I era to surpass 1,000-career points. She reached this milestone at Ole Miss (Dec. 14) in the first quarter. In her career, Thompson averages 15.8 points per contest. She was sidelined for three games this season due to a concussion.  Olivia Hackmann (2012-2017) was the last Redhawk to score over 1,000 points.

Redhawks Topple Ole Miss
Southeast Missouri recorded a dominating 70-53 win over SEC member Ole Miss for its first road win over an SEC school in program history. The win was SEMO's second all-time against a SEC foe and first since the Redhawks beat Missouri, 90-71, at home on Nov. 24, 1998. The Redhawks started a season with wins in six of their first eight games for the first time since 1993-94.
