Tipping Off
The Southeast Missouri women's basketball team will host Illinois-Springfield Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 11:00 a.m., CT, at the Show Me Center for the Classroom on the Court game. Local schools were invited to participate.

Series History
Southeast Missouri leads the all-time series against Illinois-Springfield, 2-0. All three matchups have been at the Show Me Center.  In the last meeting, Southeast won 73-56 on December 21, 2014. The two faced off for the first time on December 12, 2013 with SEMO winning 72-56.

How We Got Here
Southeast Missouri is off to a 2-5 start with losses at #6 Mississippi State (88-53, Nov. 6), Bradley (85-79, Nov. 10), Southern Illinois (60-40, Nov. 14), North Alabama (67-80, Nov. 24)and Indiana State (51-62, Nov. 29). The two wins came against Western Illinois (81-71, Nov. 20) and NJIT (68-58, Nov. 25).  Tesia Thompson leads the team with 18.9 points per game. Adrianna Murphy averages 4.1 assists per game and 3.3 steals per game.

Scouting the Prairie Stars
The Prairie Stars are currently 1-5 this season and own a 0-3 record on the road. The lone win this season came against Tiffin where Lauren Ladowski scored a season-high 18 points. Ladowski is a starter for UIS who averages 12.7 points per game, five rebounds and has 11 steals so far this season. Jasmine Sangster is another solid scorer for the Prairie Stars as she averages 13.2 points per game and 4.3 rebounds. The team has 97 turnovers so far in the 2018-19 season with 57 steals. 

Last Time Out
Southeast Missouri recently hosted Indiana State on November 29, where the Redhawks fell 51-62. Between the two teams, 62 turnovers were recorded in the game. Southeast had nine blocks with two coming both Celeste Akoro and Jocelyn Taylor. Tesia Thompson recorded 23 points against the Sycamores totaling 132 points already in the 2018-19 season. A total of four Redhawks have scored in double-figures in three games this season.
