Tipping Off
Southeast Missouri women's basketball (7-8, 1-1) will take on the Austin Peay Governors (9-5, 2-1) at 4:30 p.m. at the Winfield Dunn Center on Saturday.
 
Scouting Austin Peay
The Governors are 9-5 on the season, 2-1 in OVC play. They are coming off a 69-62 win over UT Martin on Thursday, Brianne Alexander led the way with 17 points. Austin Peay's offense features a balanced attack, with four starters averaging over nine points a game.

Last Meeting with Peay
Southeast dropped the last meeting with Austin Peay at the Show Me Center 64-74. The Redhawks lost the meeting before that by 10 as well, 74-84. The last time SEMO defeated Austin Peay was Jan. 30, 2016 where they won 71-69.
 
Redhawks Grab First Road Win at Murray
Southeast Missouri secured its second OVC victory and first road win of the season after beating Murray State 85-74 on Thursday evening. The game stayed close until the third quarter where Ashton Luttrull exploded for 14 points in the quarter and Southeast pulled away. Luttrull finished with 23 points in the game, tying a career high.
 
Thompson Named OVC Freshman of the Week
Guard Tesia Thompson was dubbed the OVC Freshman of the Week after the opening week of conference play. In two games, Thompson averaged 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game over the week, including a career high 23 points against Tennessee State.
 
A Look at What's Ahead
The Redhawks will return to Cape Girardeau, Mo. to battle Morehead State on Thursday and Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
