Redhawks Travel to Austin Peay 
Southeast Missouri (7-9, 1-2) closes out its two-game road stretch at Austin Peay (8-7, 3-0) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., CT, at the Dunn Center.

Series History
Southeast and Austin Peay hook up for the 59th time Saturday. APSU leads the all-time series, 36-22. The Redhawks won four of their last seven meetings with the Governors and split the two-game series a year ago. Southeast beat APSU, 82-71, on Jan. 28, 2017 and dropped the game it would have clinched the Ohio Valley Conference West Division with by a score of 88-79 on Feb. 25, 2017 in Cape Girardeau. The Redhawks are 7-21 all-time in Clarksville.

Redhawks Fall to Murray State
The Redhawks dropped a 89-73 decision at rival Murray State Thursday, their first Ohio Valley Conference road test of the season. Southeast looks to get back on track after losing five of its last six contests. The only win during that stretch was a 77-65 home victory over Tennessee State on Dec. 31. The Redhawks averaged under 70 points per game (68 ppg) in their previous six contests.

Tough Road Trip
Southeast faces both Murray State and Austin Peay during its first road trip in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Redhawks fell to the Racers, 89-73, and Austin Peay beat UT Martin, 75-69, Thursday. As a result, both the Racers and Governors remained undefeated at 3-0 in league action.

Austin Peay, which is under first-year head coach Matt Figger, enters Saturday's game on a three-game winning streak. The Governors are currently 8-2 at home this season with their eight home victories ranking atop the Ohio Valley Conference. APSU leads the OVC in steals (8.4 spg) and turnover margin (+2.6), and ranks second in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.328). Terry Taylor ranks ninth in the conference in scoring (15.2 ppg) and first in offensive rebounds (3.9 rpg).

Career Start 50
Southeast's leading scorer, Denzel Mahoney, will take the court for his 50th career start at Austin Peay Saturday. Mahoney has started every game of his two-year college career. He scored double figures in 42 career starts.

Last Time Out
The Redhawks led on three separate occasions in the first half, but later lost, 89-73, at rival Murray State Thursday. MSU was ahead by 12 in the second half when Southeast was issued a personal foul and two technical fouls. As a result, the Racers made six free throws in a row to ignite a 16-6 run en route to their 11th win of the season. 

Gable Out with Foot Fracture
Freshman Isaiah Gable is out this week with a fracture in his right foot. Gable played in 13 games off the bench, averaging 4.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest prior to his injury. His return is undetermined at this time. 

Brewer Time
Freshman Ledarrius Brewer scored double figures in each of his first three Ohio Valley Conference starts. Brewer averaged 18.7 points and three rebounds, while knocking down 11 three-pointers in that span. He opened league play by dropping in a career-high 21 points and draining 6-of-9 three-pointers in his first career conference start against Belmont (Dec. 28). Three days later, Brewer finished with 16 points, six rebounds and a career-high three blocks in Southeast's win over Tennessee State. Most recently, he led the Redhawks with 19 points and buried three more 3-pointers at Murray State (Jan. 4). Brewer ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring with 18.7 points per contest in conference games alone. 

Vranes Gets Second Double-Double
Milos Vranes turned in the second double-double of his career when he scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds at Murray State (Jan. 4). Vranes scored double figures in his second-straight game, marking the third time in his career he has scored double-digits in consecutive contests. He also moved to first on the team in rebounding with 5.2 per game.

Forty-Two for Mahoney
Denzel Mahoney scored double figures for the 42nd time in his career when he finished with 14 points at Murray State (Jan. 4). Mahoney is averaging 18.6 points per game this season and 18.3 in league play.

13 and Counting
Denzel Mahoney has scored double figures in 13-straight games. It is the longest double-digit game scoring streak of Mahoney's career. He led the Redhawks in scoring during 10 of his 16 starts this year.

Second in the OVC
Sophomore guard/forward Denzel Mahoney ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring with 18.6 points a game. Mahoney is also 11th in free throw percentage (.825), 10th in 3-point field goal percentage (.414), and 17th in minutes played (29.9 mpg). He has scored double figures a total of 42 times in his career. Mahoney ranks second behind Murray State's Jonathan Stark (18.8 ppg).

Mr. Perfect
Denzel Mahoney, who leads Southeast and ranks 11th in the Ohio Valley Conference in free throw percentage (.825) shot a perfect 8-of-8 free throws Murray State (Jan. 4). It marked the third time this season and sixth in his career where Mahoney went perfect at the free throw line with a minimum of five free throw attempts in a game.

Dalton Third in Assist/Turnover Ratio
Point guard Jonathan Dalton enters the week ranked second in the Ohio Valley Conference in assist/turnover ratio. Dalton has a team-high 81 assists to 30 turnovers for a 2.7 ratio through 16 games. He dished out five or more assists nine times and went turnover free on four occasions this season. Dalton ranks third in the league with 5.1 assists per contest.

OVC Rankings
The Redhawks rank among the top five in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring offense (5th, 74.7 ppg), free throw percentage (4th, .742), 3-point field goal percentage (3rd, .381), rebounding defense (5th, 33.6 rpg), assists (5th, 15.1), assist/turnover ratio (4th, 1.2), defensive rebounding percentage (5th, 72.7) and 3-point field goals made (2nd, 8.6 per game). Individually, Denzel Mahoney rates second in the league in scoring (18.6 ppg) and Jonathan Dalton is third in assists (5.1 apg) and assist/turnover ratio (2.7). Daniel Simmons ranks fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (.449).

Denzel Mahoney has started 49-consecutive games. Mahoney scored in 48 contests during his college career. He opened the season with 21 points against Missouri Baptist (Nov. 10) and 25 at Louisiana Tech (Nov. 13), and scored a career-high 27 vs. Hannibal-LaGrange (Nov. 28).
