Southeast Missouri women's basketball (2-3) is hosting the first ever SEMO Thanksgiving Classic. Southeast battles Evangel first at 3:15 on Nov. 24.

Evangel is 1-5 on the season. Their only win thus far this season was thier opener, where they defeated Stephens College 77-63. In their last game they were defeated 67-60 by Wayland Baptist. Sydnee Garret is their leading scorer, at 21.3 points per contest.

A Look at What's Ahead
The Redhawks will finish out the tournament on Saturday against Bradley at 3:15. Bradley is sitting at 2-1 on year and will battle Nicholls State on Friday. Southeast will have a few days off then before they travel to play at Cincinnati.

The Redhawks are hosting the SEMO Thanksgiving Classic. Bradley, Evangel and Nicholls State will be traveling to Cape Girardeau to compete in the tournament. Games are played at 1 and 3:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday,
Redhawks Lose Overtime Thriller
The Redhawks fell 79-74 in heartbreak fashion to the nearby SIU Salukis on Wednesday afternoon. Southeast fought its way back in the second half and had a chance to win the game at the buzzer but the shot was just short. SIU scored nine unanswered in OT to win by 5.
Kaley Leyhue had a career high five threes and 17 points. Adrianna Murphy also had her career high in points with 19.
