Farley Sets New Record At Memphis Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri's track & field teams wrapped up competition at the Memphis Invitational on Saturday.
In his second place finish in the hammer throw, Kevin Farley set a new personal best by breaking his previously set school record. The new top mark measures in at 64.42m.
Jordan Barber placed first in the 400m with a time of 47.86. Jarred Pasley (48.15), Brandon Chunn (48.45) and Brannon Wright (48.61) finished second, fourth and fifth, respectively. Zach Gordon also clocked a time of 50.88 in the event.
Of the nine Redhawks who ran in the men's 800m, Jordan Brown clocked the top time of 1:54.35 to finish ninth.
James Kosbar finished with the best 1500m time of 4:04.86.
Craig Munie finished in 15:33.25 during the 5000m run, finishing eighth. Jaime Zarate followed with a time of 15:49.84.
In the 400m hurdles, Ty Crowden earned a time of 59.22.
Shane Brown earned a time of 9:50.92 to take sixth in the 3000m steeple.
Duncan Ross and Tyler Jourdan both reached the height of 4.41m in pole vault.
Taking fifth in long jump, Jacob Kent lept 7.11m. Gordon (6.68m), Tre Curry (6.65m) and Christopher Davis (5.99m) also competed in the event.
Chris Martin took first in the triple jump, bounding 15.70m. Abayomi Akinmoladun also earned a mark of 13.83m.
Farley captured first in the shot put with a throw of 18.19m. Stephen Zagurski had a top throw in the competition of 14.72m. Farley followed with a second place finish in the discus (53.86m) while Jason Walker too seventh at 49.65m.
Andrew Ryan (47.39m), Walker (46.90m) and Ross (40.69m) placed third through fifth in the javelin.
On the women's side, Mariam Ajiroba clocked a time of 12.04 seconds in the 100m dash. She would follow with a 24.48 second performance in the 200m.
Cheyanne Tunti took third in the 400m with a time of 55.00. Jovannie Spears also finished with a time of 1:00.17 in the running.
In the 800m, Megan Parks took fifth at 2:10.14.
Kaitlyn Shea (4:43.77) and Angela Sumner (4:46.36) earned the top Redhawk times in the 1500m run.
Sydney O'Brien earned a time of 18:28.53 in the 5000m.
In the 400m hurdles, Miya Dorsey placed seventh at 1:04.26.
Lindsey Seabaugh took sixth in the 3000m steeple with a time of 11:46.68. Andrea George (12:09.81) and Natalie Kopplin (12:21.46) also ran in the event.
Chante Mosby earned third in the high jump with a height of 1.62m while Macy Ritter tied for seventh at 1.57m. Ritter returned to take ninth in the long jump with a distance of 5.67m.
Sierra Maddox had a top pole vault mark of 3.74m.
N'Kia Jones had a triple jump performance measuring 11.90m.
In the shot put, Paden Wachter's top toss of 12.04m earned ninth place. McKenna Baker had a toss measuring 10.61m in the event. Wachter also finished ninth in the discus (40.60m) and tenth in hammer throw (48.23m).
Taylor Coffelt earned fifth in the javelin at 35.59m. Catherine Hopkins (26.72m) and Chelsea Miller (22.26m) also threw in the event.
Southeast's men's 4x400m relay team took first with a time of 3:11.12. The women's squad placed third in their running finishing in 3:47.25.
