Southeast Missouri's track & field teams travel to Atlanta, Georgia this weekend to take part in the two-day Georgia Tech Invitational. The meet opens Friday at 10 a.m. (CT) with the hammer throw.

OVC Weekly Recognition
On April 6, Kevin Farley was the first Redhawk to win an adidas® Ohio Valley Conference in the 2015 outdoor season. The following week, Jordan Barber and Chris Martin each earned Male Track Athlete of the Week and Male Field Athlete of the Week, respectively.

National Ranks
At the recent SIU Edwardsville Gateway Classic, Farley's toss in shot put of 61'4" (18.69m) improves his season-high and OVC-leading mark to rank 21st in the NCAA DI standings. He also tops the conference in discus, ranking 21st nationally, and hammer throw, 53rd nationally.

Martin's triple jump efforts also ranks him nationally. At the Hilltopper Relays, his triple jump distance of 51'5" is the second best in the conference and ranks 20th in the nation.

Top Conference Marks
Dylan Rush increased his conference leading mark in pole vault to 5.02m (16'5") last weekend. In third, Duncan Ross (4.45m; 14'7.25") follows Rush in the standings while Tyler Jourdan (4.30m; 14'1.25") is fifth.

Sierra Maddox has the second best height for women's pole vault in the OVC at 3.84m (12' 7.25").

Barber's 400m time of 48.51 ranks him second in the conference this season. Brandon Chunn (49.12) and Brannon Wright (49.33) currently rank fourth and fifth, respectively. All three are also joined by Jarred Pasley to boast the best 4x400m relay in conference.

In the women's 500m, Cheyenne Tunti has the third best time at 55.08.

Haile Wilson (10.54) and Mariam Ajiroba (11.83) are both second in the OVC in their respective 100m dashs.

Marc Maton owns the third best conference time in the men's 1500m, finishing the race in 3:50.80

Tied for fourth, Chante Mosby currently holds a top high jump mark of 1.65m (5' 5").

Zach Gordon leapt 7.23m (23'8.75") last weekend to move into third in OVC long jump standings. Jacob Kent also ranks fifth with a distance of 7.14m (23' 5.25").

In women's triple jump, N'Kia Jones ranks fifth by bounding 11.94m (39' 2.25").

Aaliah Herron currently holds the third best shot put throw with a distance of 14.26m (46' 9.5").

While Farley holds the top OVC mark in three categories, other Redhawks also reached the top-5 in those events. Jason Walker holds the second best discus toss at 51.03m (167' 5") while Stephen Zagurski is fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.57m (179' 0").

Taylor Coffelt ranks second in women's javelin at 41.28m (135' 5"). Andrew Ryan ranks third on the men's side 50.98m (167' 3").

The Redhawks will continue their outdoor season next weekend, April 30, at the Memphis Invitational.
