Redhawks Wrap Up Weekend Meets

Southeast Missouri's track and field trams wrapped up competition in meets at Notre Dame and Southern Illinois on Saturday.
Notre Dame Meyo Invitational
Cheyanne Tunti earned the top Redhawks time in the 400m dash at 56.09. Miya Dorsey finished the event with a new personal best of 57.13 seconds.
Kaitlyn Shea earned a time of 10:10.16 in the 3000m run.
Angela Sumner competed in the mile run, finishing with the time 5:13.91, while Megan Parks completed the 800m with a time of 2:15.06.
Aaliah Herron set a new personal shot put record measuring 13.81m.
In men's events, Jarred Pasley finished ninth in the 400m with a personal record time of 47.52. Jordan Barber also achieved a personal best in that event, finishing in 48.28 seconds.
Pasley and Barber were joined by Brandon Chunn and Brannon Wright for the 4x400m relay to clock a time of 3:12.71.
Marc Maton finished the mile run with a personal best time of 4:08.69.
Several Redhawks competed in the 800m run. Kameron Long earned Southeast's top time of 1:53.66, while Jordan Brown and Cole Davis posted times of 1:54.19 and 1:58.45, respectively.
Jason Walker and Stephen Zagurski competed in the shot put, recording marks of 14.00m and 13.22m.
Jacob Kent finished the high jump leaping 2.02m, while Chris Martin's effort in the triple jump measured 15.57m.
Southern Illinois Don DeNoon Invitational
The women's track & field team captured the top two spots in the women's pentathlon thanks to personal record performances by Taylor Coffelt (3428 points) and Macy Ritter (3153).
Coffelt's effort in the high jump portion set a new personal best at 1.59m.
Ritter also set two new event bests, finishing the 60m in 9.58 seconds and the 800m run with a time of 2:40.60.
Duncan Ross also earned a personal best score in the men's heptathlon, earning 4033 points throughout the event. His time of 3:01.71 in the 1000m and height of 1.62m in high jump were both personal records.
