Tipping Off
Southeast Missouri women's basketball (5-7) will look to end non-conference play on a high note Monday morning against Alabama A&M (2-5). Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. from the Show Me Center.

A Look at What's Ahead
Ohio Valley Conference play will begin at home on Dec. 29 against Tennessee Tech. The Redhawks and Golden Eagles will play at 7:15 p.m. New Year's Eve will feature a game against Eastern Kentucky at 12 p.m., noon. Southeast will then embark on a four-game road stretch to begin the New Year starting with the Tennessee State-Belmont swing in Nashville, Tennessee.
Series History
The Redhawks are undefeated in three all-time meetings with Alabama A&M. This will be the fourth consecutive season the teams have met. The Bulldogs last played at the Show Me Center on Nov. 14, 2014. The Redhawks came out on top 66-38 in the contest. Last season, Southeast was victorious on the road, 69-58.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Alabama A&M comes to Cape Girardeau sporting a 2-5 record on the season with both wins coming at home and all five losses occurring on the road. The Bulldogs fell to OVC foe Murray State on Nov. 14 by a score of 81-49. Most recently, Samford defeated A&M 61-37 in Birmingham. As a team, the Bulldogs are averaging 32.5 points less per game than their opponents. The Bulldogs are shooting 31 percent this season while their opponents are shooting 43. Rebounding is slightly closer with A&M averaging about eight less per game. The Bulldogs 25 turnovers a game leads the nation. Jameica Cobb leads the squad in both scoring (16.0) and rebounding (8.0) this season.
Looking Back
Southeast Missouri women's basketball dropped a heartbreaking two-point game at Memphis on Friday evening, 65-63. Down by five at halftime, 30-25, Southeast outscored the Tigers 38-35 in the second but it wasn't enough in the end.
Bri Mitchell tallied a team-best 17 points in her hometown on Friday. The senior from Germantown, Tennessee also added seven assists and was 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Hannah Noe turned in her ninth double-digit point game of the season with 13 points.
Adrianna Murphy finished with 10 points, eight of which came in the fourth quarter. Friday's 10-point performance was Murphy's first double-digit point game of the season and was a season-high in points for the sophomore. While tying a season-low six points,
Olivia Hackmann did record a team-best five rebounds with a season-best two blocked shots. As a team, the Redhawks outshot the Tigers 47.1 percent (24-of-51) to 42.9 percent (27-of-63). However, Memphis dominated the boards, 38-25, while also pulling in 21 offensive rebounds resulting in 22 second chance points in the Tigers' favor. After committing 16 turnovers in the first half, the Redhawks only committed five in the second while forcing 10 on Memphis. The Tigers flipped SEMO's mishandlings into 19 points while the Redhawks had 14 off Memphis'.
An End to Non-Conference
Monday's game will be the non-conference finale for Southeast Missouri. Even with a win, the Redhawks will finish the slate under .500. A season ago, SEMO was 7-7 in non-conference play before opening OVC play winning five of six games.
Wiping the Glass
Southeast Missouri ranks as one of the best rebounding teams in the country, ranking 16th in total rebounds with 492; however, Southeast's 41 rebounds per game ranks 105th nationally. The Redhawks had a season-high 59 rebounds against Lipscomb on Dec. 6.
Sharp Shooters
As a team, Southeast Missouri ranks 15th nationally in 3-point field goals made (95) and 14th in 3-point field goal percentage (.396). In the OVC, the Redhawks rank third behind Belmont in 3-pointers made but lead in 3-point shooting.
Hannah Noe's 30 3-pointers rank 12th in the country, second in the league. Noe has 85 career made 3-pointers, ranking her ninth in Southeast's career top-10 list. The Redhawks' 16 3-pointers against Stephens (Dec. 4) ranks tied for seventh-most in Division I this season.

Sophomore point guard
Adrianna Murphy is third in the nation with 82 assists this season. Her 6.8 assists per game ranks 13th. Murphy has had two double-digit assist performances this season including a career-high 14. Her 14-assist game is the sixth most in an NCAA game this season. As a team, the Redhawks rank seventh in the nation with 202 total assists.
Eyes on a Grand
Olivia Hackmann is quickly approaching one thousand points in her career. She has 954, needing only 46 more.
Bri Mitchell is also well on her way with 883 career points. There are 16 total members of Southeast's 1,000-point club, only seven of which have come in the Division I era. Sonya Daugherty and Tarina Nixon (2005-09) were the last inducted into the club.
