Southeast Missouri women's soccer (7-3-3, 1-1-2) will begin its final three road contests this weekend with a match at Jacksonville State Friday and Belmont on Sunday.

The Redhawks and Gamecocks (4-8-1, 1-3) are set to kickoff at 7 p.m. on Friday from Jacksonville, Alabama.

From Jacksonville, the Redhawks will travel to Nashville, Tennessee for a Sunday showdown with Belmont. Sunday's match is set for a 2 p.m. start.

Series Histories
Jacksonville State
The Redhawks lead the all-time series against Jacksonville State, 10-4-3. On the road, Southeast trails in the series, 2-3-2. The teams met twice last season. The Redhawks won the regular-season matchup, 1-0, in Cape. The Redhawks and Gamecocks tied in the first round of the OVC Tournament in Jacksonville, 1-1. The Redhawks, however, advanced in the tournament on penalty kicks, 3-2. The Redhawks have won the last two regular season meetings in Jacksonville.
Belmont
In eight all-time meetings, the Redhawks are unbeaten against Belmont, 6-0-2. The Redhawks and Bruins played to a 1-1 tie a season ago in Cape. In Nashville, Southeast is 1-0-1. The last meeting in Nashville was on Oct. 12, 2014; Southeast won 1-0.

Scouting the Opponents
Jacksonville State
Jacksonville State enters Friday's match with an overall 4-8-1 record and 1-3 clip in OVC play. At home, JSU is 3-2 this season with home wins over Georgia Southern, Jackson State, and Eastern Illinois. Most recently, JSU fell to SIUE in the 101st minute of double overtime, 2-1. Nadia Plawiuk and Cheyenne Carden lead the team with a pair of goals each. Carsen Taylor is the team leader in points with five (one goal, three assists). As a team, JSU has netted 11 goals and given up 17.
Belmont
The Bruins enter this weekend with a 3-6-3 overall record and a 2-2 OVC record. At home, Belmont is 2-2 this season. The Bruins began OVC play 0-2 but most recently picked up 1-0 victories overs SIUE and Eastern Illinois. Meg Howard and Emily Whitcomb each have a pair of goals to lead the team. Belicia Mendiola (one goal, three assists) and Whitcomb (two goals, one assist) lead the squad with five points each. Goalkeeper Stephanie Bukevec has played nine games in goal with a 1.05 goals against average and an .821 save percentage. She has three solo shutouts in goal. Bukevec is the reigning adidas® OVC Goalkeeper of the Week after earning shutouts of EIU and SIUE last week.

What's Ahead
The final regular season road match will be played on Friday, Oct. 14 at Tennessee Tech. The Redhawks and Golden Eagles are slated to begin at 3 p.m. from Cookeville, Tennessee. The Redhawks will return home to on that Sunday, Oct. 16, when Eastern Kentucky comes to Cape. Sunday's match will begin at 2 p.m.

NSCAA Team Academic Award
For the seventh-consecutive year, the Redhawks have earned NSCAA Team Academic recognition. Southeast's 3.64 team GPA ranked fifth among NCAA Division I women's soccer teams.

Carli Lloyd Signed Flag Giveaway

Let's Recap
Southeast Missouri picked up a pair of ties last week at home. The Redhawks held a 2-1 lead over Murray State but a last-minute goal by the Racers thrust the match into overtime. 20 extra minutes wasn't enough to determine a winner so the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Southeast and Austin Peay played a formidable match on Sunday but ultimately finished in a 1-1 tie as well.
Natasha Minor led the Redhawks in scoring last week, netting a pair of goals, one in each game. Southeast remained unbeaten at home this season at 3-0-2.

Natasha Minor's nine goals this season ranks second in the OVC and 12th nationally. Her nine goals ranks tied for fifth on Southeast's single-season top five list. Minor is four goals from tying, five from breaking, Southeast's all time goals record of 29.
