Southeast Missouri trails in the all-time series to Austin Peay, 21-28. At home, Southeast is 11-12 against the Lady Govs. The Redhawks have lost three-straight contests to Austin Peay including dropping both ends of last year's home-and-home series. Southeast has lost the last two home games to the Lady Govs.

Let's Recap
Southeast Missouri dropped back-to-back conference games last week. The Redhawks came up short on the road to conference leader SIUE on Wednesday, 80-73. Senior Erin Bollmann picked up a new career-high 23 points in the contest and fell a rebound short of recording a double-double. The Redhawks dropped only their third home loss of the season on Sunday against OVC powerhouse UT Martin, 84-74. Imani Johnson led the way for Southeast with 18 points in the game. For the second game in a row, Bollmann fell a rebound short of recording a double-double. Bollmann finished with 16 points and nine rebounds. The Redhawks hit 10 3-pointers in the game, the most since they hit 12 at Western Illinois on Nov. 24.

Looking at the Austin Peay Lady Govs
Austin Peay defeated Morehead State on the road before recording a home win over Eastern Illinois last week. The win over the Eagles was the first road victory of the season. Senior Tiasha Gray handed out a program-record 13 assists at Morehead State to go with 28 points, six steals and five rebounds. She had 17 points and six assists against EIU. Junior Tearra Banks is ranked ninth nationally in field goal percentage (60.2) entering the week. She did not play at Morehead State but came back with a 7-of-8 shooting effort against Eastern Illinois, scoring 14 points in 14 minutes against the Panthers. The Lady Govs hosted SIUE Wednesday evening. APSU fell to the Cougars, 72-61. Gray finished with a 20-point outing, her 29th consecutive double-digit scoring outing. However, her seven steals moved her to 290 career steals. She moved into sixth on the OVC's career steals list.

Looking Ahead
The Redhawks will wrap up their three-game homestand Wednesday when they host Murray State. The Redhawks and Racers tip off at 6:30 p.m. from the Show Me Center. Wednesday's game will be Southeast's annual Pink Up game. In celebration National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the Redhawks will be recognizing Southeast Missouri registrar Sandy Hinkle at halftime. Southeast will then open a three-game road set beginning Feb. 6 at Eastern Illinois.

Twice a Freshman of the Week
Imani Johnson was named the adidas OVC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. Johnson tallied 30 points in two games last week. She started the week off at SIUE with 12 points. Johnson followed it up with an 18-point performance against UT Martin at home Sunday. Johnson finished with five rebounds in each game last week and contributed two blocks in the game at SIUE. She shot 40.9% (9-of-22) from the field and hit three 3-pointers, two against UT Martin. Johnson, who is a superb free-throw shooter, was 9-of-10 from the free-throw line last week. Johnson is the first Southeast freshman to earn OVC Freshman of the Week multiple times since Sarah Miller won it twice 20 years ago in the 1995-96 season.

Women's Basketball Coaches Show Mondays at 9 a.m.
Fans can tune in to SEMO ESPN to hear head women's basketball coach Rekha Patterson discuss her team on a weekly basis. Patterson will be live on the air as part of The Sports Huddle Monday mornings at 9 a.m. beginning Jan. 25. Wallace Joins Staff as Graduate Assistant
Former Baylor University guard Cherrish Wallace has joined the Southeast Missouri women's basketball coaching staff as the graduate assistant. Wallace, a Pasadena, California, native, initially suffered a stress fracture in her leg 11 games into her freshman season at Baylor (2008-09). Her leg never fully recovered and she went on to become the student assistant coach for the Lady Bears.

King of the Block Party
Senior Connor King currently has 53 blocks in her time as a Redhawk. King needs three more blocks to tie 56 (Pat Colon, 1982-87) and crack the career top-10 blocks list. The record of 115 is held by Vera Roberts (1986-90). King is tied for the team lead with 18 this season.

That Was a Close One
The Redhawks are no strangers to close games this season. Southeast won its first one-possession game in a come-from-behind thriller at Tennessee Tech, 60-57. The Redhawks lost a pair of games by one-point against Idaho State and at Eastern Kentucky. The Redhawks are 3-2 in games decided by five points or less; 4-4 in 10 points or less.
