Cape Girardeau, Mo. -The Southeast Missouri women's soccer team continues its homestand this weekend when it hosts the Evansville Purple Aces on Friday and the Northern Colorado Bears on Sunday. Friday's match will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. while Sunday's will begin at 1 p.m.
The Redhawks faced both the Bears and the Purple Aces on the road in 2014. Southeast fell to UNC 1-0 on Sept. 7 in Greeley, Colorado and fell 10 days later to Evansville by the same score.

Family Fun Day - Sunday, August 30Sunday's match will be Family Fun Day. The day will feature free Putt Putt in the east end zone parking lot for all fans. There will also be free Andy's Frozen Custard to the first 250 fans in attendance.
Let's ReviewThe Redhawks began the 2015 season with a win on the road at Missouri S&T last Friday. Southeast defeated the Miners 2-0 in the season-opening match. The Redhawks' offense put up 24 shots in the match while the defense allowed only one.
Jennifer Antonacci scored the first goal of the 2015 season and
Natasha Minor netted her 13th career goal. Southeast opened the 2015 home schedule against Northern Iowa on Sunday. The Redhawks and Panthers played to a 3-3 draw after a double overtime game.
Paige Blankenheim and
Abby Klintworth put the Redhawks up 2-0 at halftime. UNI battled back with a pair of goals to tie the match in the second half.
Angie Mann scored her first career goal as a Redhawk to give Southeast a lead but UNI quickly retied it at 3-3. The score would stand and Southeast would record their first tie since Oct. 11, 2013.
OVC Defensive Player of the WeekSoutheast Missouri sophomore midfielder/defender
Paige Blankenheim was named the first adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week of the 2015 season. Blankenheim played 184 minutes last weekend and started both matches. She netted her first career goal in the 32nd minute against Northern Iowa to put the Redhawks on the board in Sunday's game. She was also part of a defense that held Missouri S&T scoreless and to just a single shot in Friday's season opener.
Longest Road Winning StreakSoutheast Missouri women's soccer is currently in the midst of the longest road winning streak in program history. Friday's season opener at Missouri S&T extended the streak to seven, breaking the program record which previously stood at six.

OVC Predicted Order of FinishSoutheast Missouri soccer was picked to finish second in the Ohio Valley Conference in 2015. The Redhawks were picked second to SIUE. The Redhawks and Cougars shared the OVC title in 2014 after both finishing 8-2 in Conference play; however, Southeast defeated SIUE, 2-1, in their head-to-head match in the regular season finale to force the shared title and earn the right to host the OVC Tournament.
