Southeast last posted back-to-back series wins in Ohio Valley Conference play during the 2012 season (Apr. 14-15 at Austin Peay; Apr. 21-22 vs. Tennessee State).
Davis Makes a PlayAfter the Redhawks committed three errors, allowing Southern Illinois to tie the game at 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning, freshman shortstop
India Davis came up with an outstanding defensive play. Davis made a sliding catch on a fly ball in foul territory and quickly threw out Kalyn Harker at the plate to keep the Salukis off the board in the 10th inning. She finished with three putouts and four assists in that game.
Walkoff WinSavannah Carpenter scored the game-winning run in Southeast's latest 4-3 victory over Southern Illinois (Apr. 8). With the international tiebreaker rule in effect, Carpenter was placed on second base in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Taylor McDannold laid down a bunt on the next play. Carpenter advanced to third and came around to score on an error when Saluki first baseman Shaye Harre mis-handled the throw. It was the first time the Redhawks won in walkoff fashion this season.
