Focused RedhawksCurrently tied for eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with UT Martin, Southeast is in position to get one of the eight spots in next week's OVC Tournament. The Redhawks will clinch a berth as long as they stay one game ahead of the Skyhawks this weekend. Southeast last made the league's postseason tournament in 2011.
Series HistoryThe Redhawks meet SEC foe Arkansas for just the second time in 2015. The Razorbacks lead the all-time series, 1-0, after they defeated Southeast by a score of 4-2 at the Arkansas Invitational on Mar. 13, 2010.
Gaining MomentumSoutheast won four of its last five games and heads to Fayetteville, Ark., fresh off a big series win over Eastern Illinois (Apr. 25-26). The Redhawks matched a season-long four-game winning streak prior to their 7-4 loss to the Panthers in Sunday's series finale. The Redhawks have nine wins in April alone, surpassing the win total in their first two months of the season combined (6).
Nice ImprovementThe Redhawks have a +4 increase in the win column this season after getting just 11 victories in 2014. Southeast's nine Ohio Valley Conference victories match the Redhawks conference win total over the last two years combined (9).
Fortner Breaks Single-Game RecordIn her first at-bat of the Eastern Illinois series, outfielder
Kayla Fortner broke Southeast's all-time single-season home run record. Fortner homered twice in the Redhawks doubleheader sweep of the Panthers on Apr. 25. She leads the Ohio Valley Conference with 16 home runs in 39 starts this year. Michelle Summers held the previous record with 14 home runs in 2007.

Kayla Fortner,
Savannah Carpenter (2),
Lindsey Patterson,
Riley Hayes and
Darby Pruett. The six home runs were not only a single-game team record for Southeast, but they tied for fifth-most in a game in NCAA Division I softball. The Redhawks homered three times in two different innings, and as a result, tied the third-most total of round-trippers in an inning for NCAA Division I.
Speaking of Home RunsSoutheast has homered in seven-straight games, hitting a total of 13 in that span. It is the Redhawks longest streak of consecutive games with a home run since they homered six contests in a row from Mar. 13-23, 2013.

Hayes homered for the first time in her career when she belted a three-run round-tripper to ignite Southeast's 5-4 come-from-behind win over Saint Louis (Apr. 22). She then hit a solo home run against Tennessee State (Apr. 23) and added two more against Eastern Illinois (Apr. 25). Hayes is the second Redhawk to hit a home run four games in a row this year.
