Looking to Rebound at WichitaSoutheast Missouri (4-4) continues its road trip when it travels to Wichita State (1-4) Friday. The Redhawks and Shockers will have an early tipoff at noon from Charles Koch Arena. The Redhawks look to snap their three-game losing skid and rekindle the offense heading into their final five games before Ohio Valley Conference play begins at the end of the month.

Series HistorySoutheast Missouri and Wichita State have met only once. The meeting came at Wichita on Nov. 29, 2013. Southeast fell to the Shockers, 67-46. Like this season, Southeast played at Missouri two nights before playing in Wichita.

Let's RecapSoutheast Missouri began its six-game road swing Tuesday with a win over Western Illinois, 89-84. From there, Southeast participated in the Fifth Annual UTEP Thanksgiving Tournament in El Paso, Texas. The Redhawks fell to Idaho State, 65-64, on a game-winning three-point bucket at the buzzer in Friday's contest.
Imani Johnson came off the bench and picked up a new career-high 15 points in the loss to the Bengals. Southeast played UC Riverside in game three of the tournament Saturday. The Highlanders used strong 3-point shooting to down Southeast, 85-67.
Olivia Hackmann recorded her seventh straight double-digit game with 21 points in the game while
Erin Bollmann earned her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The road swing continued with a trip to in-state rival Missouri on Wednesday. The Redhawks struggled to find the bottom of the net in the game as the Tigers won the matchup, 74-32. Hackmann kept her double-digit point streak alive with 12 in the game.
Connor King put up a team-high eight rebounds.

Looking at the Wichita State ShockersThe Shockers are off to a 1-4 start on the young season. Wichita is coming off its first win of the season on Saturday at Florida International. The Shockers downed FIU 76-62 on the road. Friday's game will be only their second home game of the season; they fell to Missouri on Nov. 18, 57-37. Wichita State is averaging 51.4 points a game while giving up 65.6 points per game. The Shockers' leading scorer is Jyar Francis with 12.6 points a game. Francis had played in all five games but has only started three.

Looking AheadSoutheast Missouri will finish its six-game road swing at Lipscomb on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Southeast will return home to the Show Me Center to face Central Arkansas on Sunday, Dec. 13. The Redhawks will be hosting a free youth clinch following the game. The clinic is part of the Academy Sports + Outdoors Clinic Series. The clinic is open to kids in sixth grade and younger. Additionally, kids ages 14 and under will receive free admission to the game.

From Valley to ValleyWichita State is the first of two Missouri Valley teams the Redhawks are set to face this season. Against current MVC institutions, the Redhawks are 14-50. The only Valley team the Redhawks have a winning record against is Evansville (4-3). Southeast Missouri will play Southern Illinois at home on Dec. 22.

Hacking InOlivia Hackmann is off to a strong offensive start to her senior season. Hackmann is averaging 17.3 points per game and has recorded double-digit games in all eight contests this season. She had only 10 double-figure point games all of last season. Nationally, Hackmann is tied for 25th with 138 points on the season; that ranks second in the league to Austin Peay's Tiasha Gray's 144 points. Hackmann's 17.3 points a game ranks 95th in the country and fourth in the OVC. Hackmann also ranks fourth in the country with 145 field goal attempts this season.

Hot off the BenchThe Redhawks bench has been big this season, putting up 25.4 points per game. The bench has scored almost 40% of the team's points this season. Top bench performers include
Erin Bollmann who averages 10.4 points per game as well as eight rebounds a game. Bollmann also has three double-doubles this season, all off the bench.
Hannah Noe has come off the bench and drained a team-high 13 3-point buckets this season. Redshirt-freshman
Imani Johnson has also come off the bench this season. Johnson put up 15 points against Idaho State.

Where the Redhawks Rank NationallyThe Redhawks' rank high in a number of categories nationally. Most notably, Southeast has pulled down the ninth-most rebounds in the country with 359. Southeast's 44.8 rebounds per game ranks 39th in the country. The Redhawks are 56th in blocked shots (32), 54th in free throw made (98), and 69th in assists (102).

Lending a Helping HandFreshman
Adrianna Murphy ranks 18th nationally in assists with 38 on the season. Murphy has 4.8 assists per game, which ranks 73rd. She put up 12 in the game against Western Illinois. Murphy's 12 assists in a game was the most since Sarah Costello recorded 10 assists on Feb. 10, 2004. Murphy's 12-assist game is a season-high in the OVC this season and is tied for eighth most in a game in the NCAA.

Third Quarter WoesThe third quarter has not been friendly to the Redhawks this season, being outscored 165-113. Southeast averages 14.13 points in the third and has a -6.5 scoring margin against their opponents in the third frame. In the second half overall, the Redhawks have been outscored by 50 points this season. The Redhawks have outscored their opponent only once this season (Western Illinois, 53-46).
