Southeast MissouriRedhawks Hit the Road for HuntsvilleThe Southeast Missouri (1-1) women's basketball team will travel to Huntsville, Alabama Wednesday for a matchup with the Alabama A&M (0-2) Lady Bulldogs. Tipoff against Alabama A&M is set for 7 p.m. from T.M. Elmore Gym.

Series HistoryThe Redhawks have opened the last two seasons against Alabama A&M and have won both meetings. Those two meetings are the only meetings of the two teams in their histories. The Redhawks have outscored the Lady Bulldogs 142-101. Southeast defeated A&M in Huntsville on Nov. 8, 2013, 76-64.
Let's RecapSoutheast Missouri fell in the 2015-16 season opener at Saint Louis on Saturday, 67-52. The Redhawks finished with three players in double-digit points in the season-opening game.
Bri Mitchell led the way with 18 points, falling just two shy of tying a career-high. The Redhawks rebounded in the home opener Monday with a 78-66 victory over Harris-Stowe.
Olivia Hackmann tallied a career-high 26 points in the game.
Hannah Noe drained four 3-pointers to put up a career-high 12 points in the game. Mitchell put up 10 points with eight coming from a perfect 8-for-8 performance at the free throw line.
Erin Bollmann came off the bench and recorded the Redhawks' first double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Number 500Senior forward
Connor King is quickly approaching her 500th career rebound. King currently has 494 in her career. In her career, she has averaged 5.7 rebounds. Last year, King pulled down 237 rebounds (8.2 per game). She has 16 so far on the young 2015-16 season.
Looking at the Lady BulldogsThe Lady Bulldogs are currently 0-2 on the young season with losses to Alabama (44-96) and Murray State (59-76). In their loss to Murray State, three Lady Bulldog players recorded double-digit points, led by Nashaye Sutton with 15. Alabama A&M led the Racers 17-15 at the end of the first quarter but Murray used a 14-2 run in the second to go up 35-27 at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs fell to the Racers in their home opener.
Looking AheadThe Redhawks will return home to host Missouri-Kansas City on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Show Me Center. It will be the final home game before the Redhawks begin a six-game road swing beginning Tuesday at Western Illinois. The Redhawks will return to the Show Me Center on Dec. 13 to face Central Arkansas.

Redhawks Ink Three in Early Signing PeriodThe women's basketball team signed three student-athletes during the early signing period this week. The Redhawks picked up a pair of guards in Iyanna McCurdy (Friends' Central School; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and Lakyn Gulley (Owens CC; Fort Wayne, Indiana) and forward LaShala Saine (West Memphis HS; West Memphis, Arkansas).
