The Redhawks (2-0) got out to an early 1-0 lead over the Aggies (3-2) when Brendel scored her first career goal in just the third minute of play on a top-shelf shot from 18 yards out. Sophomore
Natasha Minor assisted on the score. Minor has registered at least one point in six of her last eight games.

Beine extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 69
th minute on a breakaway from 20 yards out to the right post. It marked Beine's first goal of the season, third in her Southeast career and 13
th as an NCAA player. All three of her goals in a Redhawks uniform have come in the last six games.

Lierz made five saves, including four in the first half. She has registered two straight shutouts to begin her college career.

Southeast and UC Davis both finished with seven shots in the contest. Beine led the way with three shots on goal while Brendel added two on frame.

The Redhawks wrap up the weekend tournament with a Sunday afternoon matchup at Northern Colorado. Start time is scheduled for 3 p.m. central at Jackson Stadium in Greeley.
