• Southeast Missouri enters Friday's regular season opener after going 1-0 during exhibition play. The Redhawks defeated Missouri Valley, 81-68, on Nov. 6 at the Show Me Center.

• The Redhawks have won the last two regular season openers, including a 76-64 victory at Alabama A&M to open last season on Nov. 8, 2013 in Normal, Ala. Junior guard
Olivia Hackmann scored 12 points off of the bench in that contest and also recorded two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 23 minutes of play. Senior guard
Allyson Bradshaw and senior forward
Hillary Lively both added eight points in that game. Southeast opened the 2012-13 season with a season-opening 78-66 victory over Wright State at the Show Me Center.

• Southeast leads the series 1-0 as last season's meeting was the first between the programs.

About Southeast: The Redhawks finished 10-19 overall last season, 6-10 in Ohio Valley Conference play and fell one game short of advancing to the OVC Tournament for the second straight season. Southeast returns three starters and six letterwinners from last year's team, including the second- and third-leading scorers in junior guard

Allyson Bradshaw (8.6 points per game). Other key contributors from last season's squad are junior forward
Connor King (6.1 rebounds per game), senior forward
Hillary Lively (21 games played, 43.4 field goal percentage), sophomore guard

Yelena Rosado (22 games played, 3.8 points per game). As a team, Southeast shot 38.0 percent from the field and 28.8 percent from three-point range in 2013-14.

About Alabama A&M: The Bulldogs are led by head coach
Sameka Randall, who was a college standout at Tennessee and member of the Vols team that finished a perfect 39-0 in 1998. Randall played professionally in the WNBA and also overseas. Her Bulldogs team finished 6-23 overall and 3-15 in the SWAC in 2013-14. A&M finished the season with consecutive victories over Grambling and Alcorn State.

Allyson Bradshaw ranks third in Southeast history with 124 made three-pointers during her three-year career.
Julie Meier (1991-95) holds the record with 174 while
Tarina Nixon (2005-09) ranks second with 169.

Tucker, Glover Join Coaching Staff: Assistants
Cameron Tucker and
Lavesa Glover joined the staff prior to the season. Tucker spent last season as the head coach at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland while Glover was an assistant at Valley City State in North Dakota.

Robinson Making Redhawks Debut: Fifth-year senior guard
Jasmine Robinson will make her regular season debut for Southeast on Friday evening. Prior to sitting out last season under NCAA transfer rules, Robinson was a three-year starter at Alabama.

Exhibition Recap: Southeast defeated Missouri Valley College, 81-68, on Nov. 6 at the Show Me Center. Playing in her first game since rehabbing multiple knee injuries, redshirt freshman guard
Ashton Luttrull led the Redhawks offensively with 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting, including a 4-for-6 mark from beyond the three-point line. Senior guard
Yelena Rosado added 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting and a game-best 7-for-8 showing at the free throw line. Fellow senior guard
Jasmine Robinson scored 11 points, including converting 6-of-10 free throws in her first game action since joining the Southeast program prior to last season. Junior college transfer forward
Erin Bollman contributed seven points and a team-high nine rebounds in 19 minutes of play during her Redhawks debut.

OVC Preseason Poll: The Redhawks were picked 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll that was released at the annual OVC Media Day on Oct. 21.

Looking Ahead: Southeast continues non-conference play with a trip to Missouri on Monday for a 7 p.m. tip at Mizzou Arena. The Redhawks nearly pulled the upset at Mizzou last season when they dropped a 62-57 decision on Nov. 21, 2013. Southeast led by as many as eight points in the second half of that contest before the Tigers completed the comeback.
