The Redhawks, winners of their last two contests, have not one three-straight games since the 2008-09 season. Tip-off against the Colonels is set for 3 p.m.
About Eastern Kentucky Eastern Kentucky enters Saturday's contest 11-7 overall and 5-2 in the OVC. The Colonels are in first place of the East Division and have won eight of their last 10 games dating back to Dec. 3. Most recently, EKU lost at Tennessee State 78-63 on Monday.
The Colonels are led by Marie Carpenter, the second-leading scorer in the OVC, at 21.9 points per game. Shelly Harper and Pilar Walker each average double digits at 11.1 points and 10.4 points per game, respectively. Harper is the leading rebounder at 6.6 rebounds per game.
EKU ranks highly as a team in the OVC in several categories including rebound margin and scoring defense. Eastern Kentucky holds a +9.6 rebound margin, averaging a league-best 43.3 rebounds per game. Its defense holds opponents to 65.3 points per game, also a league-best.
Last MeetingA defensive battle ensued a year ago as the Redhawks fell to EKU 53-49 in Cape Girardeau. Eastern Kentucky hit 32.1 percent of its shots while Southeast countered with just 26.5 percent.
Brittany Harriel scored a game-high 16 points for the Redhawks in the loss.
Series HistoryEKU holds a 28-13 advantage in the series but the Redhawks have had the upper hand since the 2007 season. The Redhawks have won nine of the last 12 meetings but the two squads have split the last four meetings. The last victory for Southeast in Richmond, Ky., was Jan. 16, 2010, a 43-41 barnburner.

Jordan Hunter has been heating up over the last six games, averaging 17.0 points per game. She leads the squad during OVC play with 14.6 points per game. The New Zealand native has led the Redhawks in scoring five times this year and eleven times over the last two seasons. She has also averaged 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game over that same span.
Southeast has won back-to-back games for the first time since Jan. 5 & 7 of last season, when the Redhawks beat Austin Peay and Murray State.
Five in Double FiguresFor the second time this year, Southeast placed five players in double-digit scoring. The first time came Dec. 12 against Illinois Springfield. The second time came in Monday's victory over SIUE.
Second Half SurgeThe Redhawks put their patented second half surge on display in its victory over SIUE scoring 49 points. However, the season has shown that Southeast shots much better in the second half. In the first half of games this year, the Redhawks score 571 points (28.55 points per game/half) while the second half shows an increase to 712 points (35.6 points per game/half).
Chasing the Record BookJunior
Allyson Bradshaw is making her mark in the record books. The Cape Girardeau native has made 111 3-point field goals in her career, which ranks fifth all-time. To move into fourth place, Bradshaw needs five makes to tie Paula Corder-King who played from 1998-2000. At her current pace of making 1.4 3-point field goals per game, Bradshaw should threaten to be the most prolific long-range shooter in Southeast history, chasing a total of 174 set by Julie Meier from 1991-95.
Mack is climbing the record book at Southeast as well. As of Jan. 31, the senior ranks fifth in school history with 754 rebounds. Renee Rogliardi is fourth all time with 766 career rebounds from 1983-87.
