Quick Hits
About Murray State – The Racers snapped a four-game losing streak and clinched a spot in next week's OVC Tournament by defeating Morehead State 56-48 on the road. Prior to that, fell in four-consecutive OVC games, the last three of those defeats by double digits. MSU is third in the league in both scoring offense (66.7 points per game) and scoring defense (62.7 points per game). Mariah Robinson (16.3 points per game) and Erika Sisk (14.2 points per game) both average double-digit points and rank fourth and eighth in the OVC, respectively, in scoring average.

Last Meeting – Bailie Roberts (career-high 22 points) and Jordan Hunter (19) combined for 41 points as Southeast cruised to a 12-point win over MSU on Jan. 7. The Redhawks put the Racers in a 28-15 hole with four and a half minutes left in the opening frame, but a 9-0 MSU run cut Southeast's lead to 28-24 at halftime. It took three minutes for Southeast to bump its lead back to 10 at 36-26. The Racers hit a three to claw within seven points, but the Redhawks put the game away with a 14-0 run to go up 50-29 midway through the final period.

With a win, Southeast would…
•Win its most OVC games since the 2008-09 season.

•Sweep Murray State for the first time since the 2006-07 season (3-0 including the OVC Tournament).

•Win its most road games since picking up four road victories in the 2008-09 season

Southeast Trends
Brittany Harriel is averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds the last two games.

Bailie Roberts has gone back-to-back games without scoring in double figures for the first time since doing so in three-straight from Dec. 5-Dec. 16, 2012.

Kara Wright was held below 10 points for the first time since Feb. 9 on Monday.

•Southeast has scored below 60 points in back-to-back games for the first time since Jan. 9-14.

Jordan Hunter has dished out three or more assists in seven of the last eight games.

•Thirteen of the Redhawks' last 18 games have been decided by double digits.

Tough Finish – Southeast's season began with a great deal of promise. Through 16 games, the Redhawks were off to an 8-8 start, their best 16-game start since the 2007-08 campaign where they began the year 10-6 and won a regular season OVC title. Since then, Southeast is 2-10 and allowing 67.4 points per game (60.8 the first 16 games). Only two opponents in this final stretch scored below 60 points. In the first 16 contests, Southeast held eight opponents under 60 points, going 7-1 in those games.

Second Half Struggles – Southeast has had a difficult time parlaying strong first half efforts into victories during OVC play. The Redhawks have held a halftime lead in eight of their 15 conference games, but are only 4-4 in those instances because they've been outscored in the second half in all but six league games.

Wright Coming On – Freshman guard Kara Wright has shown growth in the last few weeks, averaging 14.5 points per game in her past six contests, has scored in double figures in seven of her last 11 games and is second on the team in scoring during conference play (10.7 points per game). The Louisville, Ky., native was a three-star recruit out of DuPont Manual HS and has shown why she was so highly regarded with three huge games recently. She erupted for 22 points in a Jan. 28 game at SIU Edwardsville and outdid that with 23 points at Austin Peay on Feb. 4. Two games later, Wright again scored 20 in a win over SIU Edwardsville on Feb. 11. Wright is the first Southeast freshman to score 20 points in a game since Tarina Nixon scored 21 at Jacksonville State on Dec. 20, 2005. With 237 points this season, Wright is the first Southeast freshman to score over 200 points in a season since Katie Norman finished the 2009-10 campaign with 202.

Cleaning the Glass – Junior forward Patricia Mack has been a force on the glass this season. Mack is fifth in the OVC in rebounding at 9.3 per game, grabbing 10+ boards 14 times this season. The first such performance was a career-high 17-point, 10-rebound double-double at Arkansas State on Nov. 19. At one point this year, she grabbed 10+ rebounds in seven-straight games, becoming the first to do so since Lachelle Lyles did it in 13-straight games on two occasions during the 2006-07 season. Her rebounding average is the best a Southeast player has recorded since Lyles led the nation with an average of 17 rebounds per game in 2006-07. Mack has 261 rebounds on the season, the seventh most in school history and third most since Southeast moved to Division I.

Bench Production – The Southeast bench has been a nice weapon this season, chipping in 17.2 points per game. Reserves have a knack for being a wild card to wins as the Redhawk bench averages nearly 20 points (19.7) per game in their 10 victories. Southeast has gotten 20 or more bench points in 10 games this season.

Making Strides – While the Redhawks will miss the conference tournament this season, it is worth noting the progress the team has made under second year head coach Ty Margenthaler. Southeast's 10 victories this year are its most since the 2008-09 season. This comes after losing 21 or more games in each of the previous three seasons. The Redhawks' next victory will be their fifth conference win of the year, which will also be the most since 08-09 after winning only four league games in three-straight seasons.
