Corey Wilford posted back-to-back 20-point performances for Southeast Missouri last week. A native of Hopkinsville, Ky., Wilford scored 21 points and had 14 in the first half to lead Southeast at SIUE (Jan. 24). Two days later, he scored 20 and finished with 16 in the second half at Eastern Illinois (Jan. 26). Wilford scored 11 of his points in a span of 8:52 to help dig the Redhawks out of a 13-point deficit. His conventional three-point play gave Southeast a one-point lead with 11:08 left in the game. Wilford heated up to shoot 55.2 percent (16-of-29) from the field, 50 percent (6-of-12) from three-point range and averaged 20.2 points per game on the week. It marked the first time he scored 20 or more points in consecutive games during his career.
