LaTrese Saine broke the school's all-time career record in blocks this past Sunday against Eastern Michigan. Saine had five blocks and established a new program record on her third swat of the game with less than a minute left in the third quarter. She now has 118 career blocks and surpassed the previous mark of 115 held by both Vera Roberts and Pam Iverson. Saine also drained her second career 3-pointer against EMU. In two games this past week, Saine totaled 17 points (8.5 per game) including 12 in last Tuesday’s 75-44 victory over the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy. She went 5-for-5 (1.000) from the field against UHSP. Saine also totaled 12 rebounds (6.0 per game) and nine blocks (4.5 per game) over the two games.
