Kevin Farley was named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Athlete of the Championship. Farley won both the shot put and discus, and placed second in the hammer throw at the 2013 OVC Outdoor Championships. He accumulated a total of 28 points, helping lead the Redhawks to a second-place finish. Farley followed that strong performance by shattering Southeast's school record in the shot put when he launched a throw of 60-3 1/4 to win the event at the Georgia Tech Invitational on May 10.
