Joel Krause opened the outdoor season by winning the javelin at the Rhodes Invitational on Mar. 16. A native of Knob Noster, Mo., Krause won the event with a career-best 170-8 on his last throw of the day. The Redhawks took three of the top five marks in the javelin.
