Defensive back Shabari Davis was tabbed the OVC Specialist of the Week Sunday after his punt returner sparked Southeast Missouri football's 26-12 victory over Eastern Illinois Saturday in Charleston, Illinois. He swung Saturday's game in Southeast's favor when he returned a punt 46 yards for a touchdown against Eastern Illinois. Davis' touchdown put the Redhawks ahead, 13-7, with 13:03 left in the third quarter and Southeast never trailed again after that. He finished with 53 yards on three punt returns. Davis, who hails from Garden City, Georgia, also became the first Redhawk to return a punt for a touchdown in four years.
