Sophomore Rebekah Lawson set a school record in the 5,000 meter run on Saturday afternoon at the Indiana Relays with a time 17:36.80. The time by Lawson was almost four seconds better than the previous record of 17:40.43 by Juli Koenegstein in 2009. Lawson also leads the OVC in the event by over 40 seconds.
