For the fourth time in five weeks, Southeast Missouri guard Denzel Mahoney was named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week. A native of Oviedo, Florida, Mahoney averaged 21 points, 7.5 rebounds, two steals and 1.5 assists per game in two games last week. He started the week with 20 points, eight rebounds, three steals and an assist in a 71-67 road victory over SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 9). In that game, Mahoney knocked down 9-of-10 free throws. Two days later, he had 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in an 86-80 overtime loss at Eastern Illinois.
