Freshman Denzel Mahoney averaged 16.5 points and four rebounds in two starts last week. Mahoney scored 10 points vs. Tennessee Tech (Jan. 10) and dropped in a season-high 23 at UT Martin (Jan. 14). He shot 62.5 percent (5-of-8) from 3-point range and did not miss a free throw (14-of-14) in those contests. Mahoney made 12 free throws against the Skyhawks alone. He shot 50 percent from the field (7-of-14) and has scored double figures in each of his last six starts.
