Freshman Denzel Mahoney had another big week, this time averaging 16.5 points and six rebounds in Southeast Missouri’s two victories last week. Mahoney notched 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds against Henderson State (12/29) before dropping in 15 in the Redhawks Ohio Valley Conference opener vs. Eastern Kentucky (12/31). He shot 56.5 percent (13-of-23) from the field for the week. Mahoney’s back-to-back double-digit performances came after he went scoreless vs. Cornell (12/23). He scored double figures in nine of his last 11 starts.
