True freshman guard Denzel Mahoney scored double figures in three-straight starts for Southeast Missouri last week. A native of Oviedo, Florida, Mahoney averaged 16 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest for the week. He opened the week with a season-high 20 points on 8-of-14 field goals (57.1 pct.) at UMKC (Nov. 28). He followed that up with 12 points vs. Central Arkansas (Dec. 1) and rounded out the week with a team-high 16 points at #10 Indiana (Dec. 4). Mahoney had 12 of his points in the second half against the Hoosiers. Mahoney enters the week as the Redhawks third-leading scorer with 11.3 points per game.
