Gearring had a successful weekend registering 43 kills over nine sets (4.78 per set) while tacking on 29 digs (3.22 per set). Her effort helped Southeast go 2-0 on the weekend; knocking off both Tennessee State and last year’s OVC champion, Belmont.
She began the weekend with 17 kills and a team-leading 15 digs against Belmont before tying a career best of 26 kills while sporting a .333 hitting clip against TSU on Saturday. She also earned double-doubles in the both matches, bringing her season total to 15.
Gearring was also named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
