A native of Boca Raton, Florida, Alex Knight averaged 51.4 yards per punt in his season debut at Memphis (Sept. 3). He punted eight times for 411 yards, dropped one of his punts inside the 20-yard line and had a touchback. Four of Knight's punts sailed 50 or more yards, including a long of 62. He moved to fourth all-time in career punting yards (6,706) and attempts (160) at Southeast. Knight earned his third career OVC Specialist of the Week honors for his performance.
